it's been a FULL 1.5 YEARS since the last update, has the game been abandoned? will it ever be finished?

This game is abandonware. Do not buy.

Your tentacle hero moves like a drunk octopus drifting through molasses. Saved 12 mermaids? Congrats! Your reward? 5 seconds of pixelated "romance" after two hours of fighting glitchy bosses. The drill was fun, though, mostly for burying my hopes. P.S. The developer promised patches. However, as Harry says, "Without arousal, I weaken!" Apparently, this also applies to updates...

Very barebones puzzle platformer, has some decent mechanics but very little content and what is there stales quickly. The H stuff is also very minimal and functions essentially as level rewards, but is inaccessible later after unlocking. Also most achievements on my end don't seem to function, but they clearly did for others with a 60% clear ratio, so I imagine a poorly implemented patch broke them. All in all, very little to impress. It's unlikely this willl ever leave Early Access, as it hasn't been worked on actively in some time, seemingly years. Dev comes in every so often to reassure otherwise, but no proof yet. Stay away.

This game has spent 5+ years being a paid demo. It's buggy and it's very light on content. It'd be a good game if it ever gets finished, and I *want* to see that happen, but realistically, nothing has convinced me we'll ever get another update, let alone one that isn't just a reworking of what's already there, followed by 3 years of silence, and then maybe another reworking of what's already there. If anyone is considering buying, it's only fair they know what they're spending their money on.

I can't recommend the game in its current condition. Only 3 implemented levels despite what all the screenshots and achievements suggest, once you get to the 4th area it just says 'under construction' and you can't play it. I personally didn't enjoy the whole bomberman mechanics of the third level and the 'boss' of that level was absolutely not fun to fight against but maybe I'm bias because I just flat out don't enjoy mechanics that slow down your character, which will happen if you get into the trail you leave behind. Oh and the Achievements don't work yet it seems, I've met the apparent criteria for 3 out of 5 of the achievements but I didn't get them? it's pretty annoying. The side scrolling metroidvania aspect of the game is very fun though if perhaps a little clunky and weird hitboxes, but I did enjoy it. Game needs more polish that's for sure but I'd say it has plenty of potential! but in its current state I can't recommend it. there's also the whole ship which is an area that's just there, I thought the girls would go there after meeting them in game but I suppose not? no tutorial or dialogue or opening scene to say what the ship is all about. I'll be revisiting the game and checking updates to see how it develops so my review may change.

The game's overall concept is good and could be a great title, but can't be recommended as it's too short (actually, content was taken from it after an update) and it's pretty clear that the dev has forsaken the project.
