The Rebel

There are some games, which are so bad, they are good again. This is no such game. It's worse. First of all, you'll get that introduction video. At this moment I thought: "Hey, at least it has a good story. Maybe this isn't that bad". I was so wrong. Then comes the main menu and the loading screen. You can take a little walk outside meantime. Or a long hike. After a few hours of waiting, I had enough, and asked the Steam Support for refund. I tried again later on another computer, and voila, the game actually loads. In the first level, you spawn in a forest. A giant dinosaur is running after you. Don't ask me why. There is nothing to do, you can shoot at it, but nothing will happen. Second level. You're inside some sort of building, this time with human (?) enemies. Which are by the way transparent. You can try to shoot at them, but the game is lagging so bad, you can't really aim. Or move. Or whatever. Third level. You're on a street with some buildings. And as in the first level, you ain't got nothing to do. But the graphics are from hell. The surface is flashing all the time, probably because of bad rendered shadows or something like that. I don't really know. But this also reflects on the buildings, which means that it flashes everywhere. If you're an epileptic, run. Run as fast as you can. (Oh, and if not: run too.) What the games says you get for 5 bucks: - a shooter - fun - nice graphics What you really get for five bucks: - a boring loading screen - an invulnerable dinosaur - transparent enemies and lots of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ graphics. I'm serious. Don't buy this game. This isn't kinda funny. Just don't buy it. And: did you took a look on the developer's website?

I received this from winning a raffle with free entry, and it still wasn't worth it. Incredibly lazy worldbuilding, models and AI, Sounds are on the edge of pointless, even on high-end PC's there are generally issues and crashes which make it unplayable, whilst also having quite long load times for such a simple and barely function game. Firing a weapon is near impossible, as it requires you to only be able to use the crosshair, aiming down sights shows you the incredibly generic weapon models, and blocks your view near completely. The enemies can't kill you, and even if they could, you'd be dead instantly, as their AI is incredibly limited to waiting until you get near enough and then proceding to push through the walls to kill you. If the Dev even cared anymore, he could at least attempt to patch this game, but that in itself would be ~such~ a task. TL:DR- The Dev needs to get his ♥♥♥♥ together if he wants people to play and buy this game.

Why did a poorly designed and redered dinosaur take a ♥♥♥♥ on my screen? Why is this game mostly positive? Why did i get this? These are the questions that this game offers but supplys no inconcevable awnser

After 5 min, I can't even find a reason to continue playing this ♥♥♥♥... ------------------Update After 10 min: Hey guys, you can drive a motorcycle under water after killing a tyrannosaur using a stupid pistol in the third map! Fantastic!!!!!

Shame on Valve for still selling crap like this on Steam. Even though the game probably did not sell a lot it has been on the store for almost 2 years. It's still in Early Access but I'm pretty sure no work has ever been put in this game between that period. 'The Rebel' is most likely just a project of some guy who thought it would be fun to play around with some unit assets, made some kind of map and called it a day (which is most likely the time he spend on this). There are 3 maps. In the first map you're thrown into a forest in which you get attacked by robots and a T-Rex. You just shoot them hundreds of times untill they dissapear (yes not die, dissapear). Whenever you jump you jump miles into the air and it also doesn't seem like you could die in the game. Map 2 is in a spacestation where you get attacked by robots, some flying robots (which I think can not die) and some ghost soldiers. Map 3 is near some skyscrapers, you get attacked by ghost soldiers and (again) robots ... There appears to be some kind of objective like finding a password but I couldn't be bothered to do them. Even the graphics in the game are terrible. Shadow clipping, your character gets stuck in walls... do I really need to continue?

So bad that I took the time to write it down here.
