Note: I am the developer of "Laser Ball" here on Steam, an action indie retro game that launched back in March of 2018 and I suppose the developer of this game wanted that name, but chose "The Real Laser Ball" to make this game have its own unique name.. too funny! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vXmjzJTtPIE&feature=youtu.be Anyhow, I really like what this developer is trying to make with this game. A hardcore and very challenging action top down bullet hell style game. My biggest complaint with the game isn't that this game is too hard, because a good bullet hell game can be a ton of fun, but in this game, the controls design is currently so flawed on launch day that it makes this game overly difficult and creates unnecessary frustration. Using a game controller is much better than trying to use a keyboard, and while the game offers custom key controls, the lack of mouse support makes playing with a keyboard next to impossible. The poorly designed controls for this game are my only real problem, and have caused this game to score a 71% using my unique scoring system when I feel like with better controls, this game could be in the mid 80s for my score. I'd love to see the developer make the controls less frustrating but keep the challenging gameplay seen now. Still this game is a very respectable title for his first Steam title and the price offers a great value as well. I recommend this game as everyone might find the controls better than I do, and/or the game could see changes made as well. It is still a game that packs a ton of value for the price and for that I give it two thumbs up. I look forward to seeing what this developer publishes next here on Steam, but if his next game is called "The Real Rock 'N Roll" or "The Real Fan'cie Veer" then well.. him and I are gonna need to have a talk! =P lol just kidding, sorry I took the name you originally wanted pal..

İlerleme sistemine sahip, 80'ler için bir fetiş olan, fizik tabanlı, atari tarzı, yüksek puan kovalayan bir oyun. The Real Laser Ball'da siz lazerli bir topsunuz.
This game wasn't made for people like me, who have the mechanical skills of a 3 year old kid... who's dead.
Un jeu plutôt sympa, et vraiment addictif comme on aime. Ces petits bruits d'explosion me donnent l'impression de voler dans le ciel un 15 Août (ou un 4 Juillet pour my fellow americans)
New to steam and this was exactly the type of game I was looking to find when I started my account. Devilishly addictive and difficult. Reminds me of the days when games were actually hard and you were rewarded for taking the time to learn the mechanics. Thanks to the curator who recommended this. Great find!
The Real Laser Ball is a somewhat experimental 2D top down retro/minimalist/neon themed "shooter"/ripoff of SpaceWar! from 1962. The quirky difference here is that your weapon is also your propulsion as you shoot a big laser beam that both kills anything you point it at, and propels you away from where you're pointing it. Controlling your propulsion is critical as hitting the edge of the screen kills you. You can remap the controls and even change the resolution, which is more than most amateur games permit, so that's a plus. Unfortunately there's no support beyond 2006's 1080p (it's 2022 now, come on!) and there's an ugly screen filter that you can't turn off, which makes this a bit of a dud. While the game mechanism is almost unique as I've only seen about 3-4 games that use the same shoot/propulsion mechanic, it doesn't actually make the game fun. The minimalist art comes across as lazy, and slapping a 1980's "Vaporwave"/Neon theme onto lazy retro "art" does not a masterpiece make. It's horrible overdone by amateur devs to try disguise the fact they couldn't afford to hire people who can do 3D contemporary graphics SpaceWar! was from 1962, and Asteroids from 1980. This game, some 38 years later, isn't really bringing anything new or interesting to the table, there's nothing here I would want to tell other gamers about. Nobody is going to stop playing CS:GO for this. The game is completely free. Nothing speaks more to a developers belief in themselves and their product than making their game available for everyone without remuneration. This is certainly a gesture that shows dedication to the gaming industry. It's a shame in this case that the implementation is below the minimum standards a dedicated PC game should offer to enthusiasts. There's no "maybe" option in Steam, unfortunately, but I hope to see more work from this developer, perhaps as part of a professional game development company that can make full use of their talents without needing to make budget/quality compromises.
This game is way to hard for me and usually im good at games like this but i cant handle this game :D quality is alright!

While the graphics of this game were great and everything looked polished, I just could never get into the control scheme. I feel like the game mechanics just aren't great.
