Cute and Mysterious
(Eng )I absolutely loved this game. When the characters are first introduced, you form a preconceived notion about them. However, once you play through their routes, you get to know them on a much deeper level than you'd ever expect. The world-building and lore are incredible. I am usually terrible at stat-raising games, but I appreciate that this game doesn’t punish you for not meeting certain stat requirements. Instead, it actually helps you gain points when you fail, and it's great to see how your stats affect both the story events and your character's ending. The art and character designs are gorgeous; I fell in love with them. I can't wait to see what other games you plan to create in the future. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves fantasy, as it completely immerses you in its world and leaves you wanting to uncover all its hidden secrets.
Ok, so, I just finished my first playthrough and I love the game. 1. Route I just finished
Alistair's
route. I heard that every route has 2 endings but I don't know if this really applies to this one (?). I'm just a little upset because we couldn't actually be together but I guess it was something that I should have expected. Besides that, I really like it, it's very good and it took some turns I did not imagine, that's all I'll say :p 2. The playthrough itself It's really great, the world building is good and complex, there are some minor things that I would like that were further explained like how the age works there and stuff. There are some minor errors and bugs as well but nothing that spoils the story, just have to save constantly in case you have to restart the game (I had to do it a few times). Also, I feel like the characters' development might be a little fast, especially before you actually get to decide which route to take, but I feel like the game could be a little longer for that to take place. Some things such as a gallery and achievements would certainly make the game a little more enjoyable but I don't think the game will be having any updates soon so... 3. Endings/Stats system? Well I know I have only gotten one ending yet but I really like how there are a lot of things that influence the ending you get. The stats system is really cool and I like it, I feel like it's not too complex but also not that simple? It's a good balance. I wasn't really a fan of this but this game really made me not give it up for being too complex and having you to need to plan every move. Also, there's the talents thing that I don't really get how it works but I guess it helps determine the career-ending and maybe even some plots? I'm not really sure because I got my first when I was more near the end so idk. It would be useful to have a way to see your talents, maybe like a skill tree or something similar. I don't think I will try to get every ending but I will for sure try some other routes :3
Edit: I appreciate that the dev gave such a positive response to a negative review, and I appreciate even more that they actually updated the game. I did play it when I saw there was a new update, I just forgot to update my review. Now that I remembered, I came back to do so. The new romance option was a funny experience because, in every interaction, I kept thinking, "Look at the age gap!" But there are a lot players with different tastes, and it’s addressed in-game. Their ending also makes sense. Some of my old criticisms still stand (like the weekly and skills/talents systems), but like I said, I can see the goodwill behind the updates. Looking forward to your next game (if you plan to make one). Old review: A rare case of me buying a game basically at launch and getting disappointed. Good art alone can't sustain a game. It launched with a game-breaking bug at the ending, and because I felt no connection to the characters, I didn't even bother trying to play it again after the patches. Unfortunately, this game feels hollow, and the weekly and skills/talents system doesn't improve it. Not only does it lack content, but the developers also failed to fulfill their promises. They said in August 2023 that there would be a big update by March 2024, but that never happened. It's a shame that such good art was used in a game with nothing meaningful to offer. I'm only writing the review now because I forgot the game existed and noticed that the updates were never released. I can accept mediocre writing and bad mechanics if they come from someone who truly tried their best. But it feels like the developers didn’t even care to fulfill their promises after the game didn’t succeed. You could have tried to fulfill your promises, as that would help you learn from your successes and mistakes for future games. But by not doing so, it shows a certain lack of character, and that's something that doesn't improve over years of game development.
I have mixed opinions about this game. It's not bad, but it is quite imperfect. For an otome visual novel I feel it has very few choices, and some get quite repetitive. Pros: -Good art -The music is actually quite nice -Stats are simple -Character design is nice -It was a birthday gift from a friend -Overall is enjoyable even if it lacks in some parts, just don't expect it to blow your mind as I did -There's a fair amount of love interests, with some interesting backstories Cons: -I'd say the characters are stereotypical, but sometimes it can be nice seeing some cliches in games -Choices don't feel super important or impactful in the story long-term -
I found a necklace that gives you stats and takes some in exchange, what is its story? why did it call me? What it is??? No idea, game never tells you
-Main character suffers from "otome protagonist mind", she puts herself in danger constantly and doesn't seek for help, not even the romantic interest. -Interactions with the romance choice are scarce, for a game which its main appeal is the romance, I'd say is its most remarkable flaw -For an Oracle, I'd expect to have more visions or more studies directly related to being an Oracle -The game doesn't take much time in immersing you into this new world, and doesn't explain much about it -Not only you don't interact much with your love interest, but also the other game characters
Rheala is our roomate, but still the game doesn't show you interacting much with her or even telling her plot things, the game just shows that she knows when it's needed for the plot
Overall, I expected more from this, but for the price is decent, and I can't say I didn't enjoy playing this, i love visual novels, but it definetly left me with some mixed feelings.
Magical boarding school with a nice premise, fun characters and gorgeous art, what more could I want?
This is a really good game that does not require a walkthrough for a happy ending. If you want to end up with a specific career, you will want to look up the requirements for that (dev has posted it somewhere). The only downside is there's a few places in the game that have not been polished. The main dialogue box for the MC was messed up for the whole game for me. That was annoying, but I also got used to it and put over 36 hours in the game.
Good art. Interesting story. Other-worldly setting. The stat raising mechanics are mixed with random encounters, making finding the ending you want difficult at times. But there are so many different available endings, there's no reason not to start a new game and try again.
the story was interesting and i like the main character, although i really wish you could change her appearance. there were bugs and spelling/grammatical mistakes, enough to be annoying but not enough to break the game. i only did one romance route and it felt kind of shallow, but i do plan on trying others.
