Lovely old school turnbased RPG
:)
The Quest is a charming, bite-sized dungeon crawler that’s perfect for quick, engaging RPG sessions. As a mobile port, it carries some expected quirks - simple combat and a UI clearly designed with touchscreens in mind - but once you settle in, there’s a lot to enjoy. The real highlight is its quest design, which often includes small twists and multiple ways to resolve situations, giving even short play sessions a sense of choice and variety. The story is engaging enough to keep things moving, and the overall experience feels like a compact, classic dungeon romp. It may take a few sacrificed characters to really understand which stats and builds work best, but that trial-and-error adds to the old school charm. It’s not trying to be massive or complex - it’s a focused, accessible RPG that fits perfectly into downtime. For the price, it’s an easy recommendation if you’re looking for a laid-back, turn-based adventure.
I played it on android a bunch and got it later on steam, so my hours on here dont really reflect how much ive played. Its a competent and enjoyable old school dungeon crawler. The art is crisp, the characters are interesting, and everything works as intended. You can get different stories for it and if you are looking for a good ol role playing game with this vibe then this is pretty good for it.
I've only played this an hour and give it a 10/10. I feel like I'm playing Meridian 59 on an Amiga. That's pretty much all there is that needs to be said. The early 90s music vibes are combined with early 90s CRPG graphics that are very tastefully high-def'd. It has the exact right feels. Looking forward to blasting through this over the weekend and seeing how far I get. Multiple races, different class/skill builds, different quest choices and outcomes, all within the first hour. Some games take 10+ hours to let you know they don't suck. This one did it in minutes lol. Worth every penny.
3/10 I have no idea what's happening or why I own this game. In the end, I got stuck between an enemy and a wall and mouse1-clicked myself dead.
