I haven’t finished “The Queen of Phalli” and I’m not sure I ever will. The art is striking, and the writing is competent. But the game is not clear about its advertised content. (3/10) The store description makes it sound like the game is focused on “lesbian and futa content.” This is misleading. While the page notes: “Elifael will not limit her escapades to her mentor and housemates. Throughout her journey, she will meet exotic and fascinating creatures such as gnomes, goblins, centaurs and even humans,” I assumed, given the mature content description, that those encounters would still involve futanari or women. Instead, mandatory straight content, delivered only through text, is unavoidable, and the protagonist repeatedly expresses desire for men. This undermines the promised focus before chapter two even begins. The protagonist is also introduced as a “virgin” despite already being intimate with multiple women. This label persists even as she engages in further sexual activity, clinging to an archaic, heteronormative definition of virginity that dismisses intimacy between women as if it doesn’t count. The description mentions BDSM, but the game also depicts slavery. Slaves, by definition, cannot give free consent. Portraying them as “eager” or “wanting it” does not erase the coercion at the core of these scenes. In short, play this only if you’re drawn to the art style, don’t mind mandatory straight scenes, and accept sexual slavery as part of the narrative. Avoid it if you expect a focus on lesbian and futa intimacy. Perhaps the framing of the description reflects Steam’s restrictions on adult content, but that doesn’t help players find what they’re looking for, and it leaves some of us feeling misled. (3/10)

Just what's needed for some naughty intellectual stimulation. This is only the first book of a larger series. It lays the groundwork, introduces the cast, their relationships and hints at things to [i]come[/i]. Although the narrative arcs somewhat converge at the end, each route feels distinct and stands on its own merit, encouraging multiple playthroughs. [h3]Characters[/h3] Disregarding extra appendages, almost all characters are female, as demanded by the setting. However, they display a wide range of personalities: from eerie mentors to affectionate family members. Each one with their brand of kinks and featuring surprisingly complex feelings and hidden motivations. A nice depth that brings about compelling and sometimes relatable individuals. The main protagonist starts as naive as can be and (arguably) matures through the routes you explore. She isn't alone in this regard, other characters also change based on your choices. From harsh antagonists in one route to warm allies in another, choices feel impactful and meaningful. The MC's growth is the essence of the plot as she gets [i]thrust[/i] into [b]bigger[/b] and [b]thicker[/b] predicaments each time. The dialogue is sharp and respects your intelligence. Emotions are often implied through actions rather than explicitly spelled out. It is engaging, never feels boring and, with the exception of funny references for comic relief, doesn't break immersion. As for some spoilery "non-subjective" observations: [spoiler]Sister Nefail is best waifu, Maryl is great for a second playthrough while sister Synafae should be left for last. Nefail's story arc is wholesome and satisfying, Synafae's is the exact opposite and Maryl's falls in the middle. Synafae is kinda eww not gonna lie, unless you have particular yearning for tragedy.[/spoiler] [h3]Choices & Replayability[/h3] Every major plot point offers at least one decision that affects character relationships, eventually culminating in 1 of 5 endings. Each reachable within some variation, likely [i]yanking[/i] enough interest out of you to experiment with different decisions and lovers. The first run took me around 10 hours. Completing all routes pushed the total to 22 hours. For the price point, that’s pretty generous. [h3]Art[/h3] Hand‑drawn style, black‑and‑white sketches with heavy line work. The monochrome palette perfectly matches the dimly‑lit underground vibe and it doesn't feel like coloring is missing at all. Characters are very pleasant to look at and the extraordinary thickness is sure to activate some neurons. The art stays visually consistent throughout and makes you [i]thirsty[/i] for more. Although the amount of illustrations is adequate for a text-driven experience, more of them would be welcome. I noticed some illustrations that didn't exactly match with the written description, but it didn't affect my enjoyment too much since mistakes were rare and far between. Overall the art is amazing and a tremendous contribution to the storytelling. [h3]Soundtrack & SFX[/h3] Two simple ambient looping tracks that shift the mood between calming during story exposition to a more passionate theme for intimate escapades. The cue change itself somewhat "spoils" the current page since it tells you that something steamy is going to start or end. Nevertheless, I actually enjoyed it, even earning a few laughs. There is no voice acting and I don't feel like this game in particular needs it, even if I highly appreciate this feature in games of this genre. The only notable sound effect that I remember is the static page turn sound, which was pleasant enough. [h3]Verdict[/h3] The Queen of Phalli isn't a typical gooner's game, it requires imagination, patience for reading and an acquired taste for explicit augmented female‑centric fantasy. Yet, it hits hard and leaves you hungry for more. If you enjoy narrative‑heavy visual novels, aren’t shy about fetish content, and appreciate a story that takes its own ridiculousness seriously, this game is for you. The writing is impeccable, the art puts you in the right the mood, the choices matter and the total content is well worth the €10 price tag. I’m really looking forward to the next installment and would love to see more games like this.

This game is even more novel-like than a typical visual novel. The author's writing is excellent, with a strong sense of atmosphere that makes it highly immersive. This is not a game suited for fast-paced play at all. Instead, it's best enjoyed when you can truly slow down—sitting on the couch, reading and savoring it bit by bit. Take your time to experience the grand worldbuilding and the compelling story the author presents. If you like LGBTQ+/Futa and fantasy, you can't miss this!

The length of the game really relies on how fast you can read :P

Все их разговоры так или иначе связаны с сексом. По утрам они напряжены и нуждаются в разрядке, чтобы расслабиться, независимо от того, футанари они или нет. Секс — это опыт, полностью меняющий их мир, и лучшее, что они могут себе представить. Вот и героиня, которой предстоит пройти инициализацию, одна из таких... ээ... е6анутой на сексе. Само по себе чрезмерное использование секса не является чем-то плохим. Но тем не менее использование секса на каждом шагу означает, что секс — это не короткий эпизод, а самая важная часть игры, и логика, используемая и повторяемая в эти моменты, — это логика порнографии: чем больше, тем лучше. А тут прям перебор с этим. Это как попасть в голову к нимфоманке и слушать эти тараканьи бредни, что по сути вызывает чувство, будто я читаю гей-порно, скрывающееся за футанари-сеттингом. Утомительно, хотя очколюбы оценят.
