I was ridiculously underwhelmed with this game. I honestly though there would be more to it. Based on the Steam page what I expected was a choice based game where you diagnose patients with a mental disorder and you work as "the psychiatrist" to remedy the patient. The commercials and synopsis of the game give off the impression that you would be able to choose how to talk to the patient and the way you talk to the patient would affect the outcome. This game ended up being a summary of one session. You get no choices and everything is predetermined. If the route that this game wanted to take was to portray a personal story through game format, the game should have definitely been more than one session long. Everything about this game feels rushed, in reality no one would open up that quickly to a psychiatrist, no matter how many they've been to. This game gives off the idea that someone can be diagnosed and treated in one session which is not realistic. At the very least if "the psychiatrist" was so great that she could diagnose and treat patients in one session there should've been more patients with different lives and different scenarios. This game feels unfinished and is definitely not worth the money. I honestly just feel scammed and pissed off after playing this.
This game is nothing like what is shown here. There are no dialogue choices and there is only one ending. It's basically just a 15 minute audio book with pictures. It was only around $5 but whoever made this is intentionally deceiving people so I requested a refund.
The gameplay consists only of clicking one big button and reading few pages of text: no choice, no intrigue + it lasts about 5-15 minutes. I've been waiting for this game but it's disappointed me unfortunately.
Wow. This was an incredibly bad game. If you can even call it a game---the only mechanic was the click the same button over and over. The text itself sounded like it was written by someone who was having a stroke. There was no plot, or story, or anything. I can't believe I wasted my money on this. Also, this was clearly not written by someone who has experienced depression. The game suggested that depression can be cured by positive thinking and self-love. And, while that can sometimes help, IT DOES NOT CURE IT. I would NOT recommend this game to anyone.
Literally its one single button. "Visual Novel", more like, "Screenplay with a single button to turn the page" Not even an exaggeration. The store page makes it seem like a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure, but there's literally only the settings button and the advance button. . . You can skim through the whole game in less than a few minutes, and the story is so bland and unrealistic, it's not even worth it to read. Who is cured of 'MaJoR dEpReSsIoN' in a conversation that would realistically only last ten minutes?? Played for three minutes and realized how ascinine the game-play was. Would not recommend unless you were looking for an awfully boring book to read. 1/10 Also why is this tagged with Villain Protagonist????
So, this is a quick (about 8 minutes) linear, kinetic text-based game with one main set visual (check screenshot). I won't lie, I'm disappointed. I work in the psychology field and I was genuinely looking forward to what this story would bring. I tried to keep an open mind, I didn't expect it to be entirely correct or accurate. But I wanted a substantial story and content and I simply didn't get that. I just don't think it was worth it. Though I do appreciate the attempt. +Pros+ +There is potential for a longer, better story. +It tries to share an optimistic viewpoint -Cons- -Extremely short (8 minutes or less) -Sort of shallow story, little emotional depth -The price is far too high for so little content. -Grammar errors, but it is still readable
