The Pillage

[i] The Pillage[/i] самый необычный тайм киллер, увиденный мной. Геймплей игры заключается в постоянных убийствах ножом мирных жителей и сотрудников правопорядка. Убиваете, умираете, копите очки, открываете перки и повторяете снова. Графический дизайн игры выполнен в лучших традициях ленивого пиксель арта, а сопровождать вашу кровавую баню будет однообразный занудный саундтрек. Практика массовых убийств ради удовольствия давно была и тут нет никого народнее, чем серия [i] GTA[/i]. А [i] The Pillage[/i] сама по себе неудачная идея.

The Pillage, what can I say, it has everything a game needs to be to break the monotonous cycle of games today. Everything is either a Battle Royal or failed MMO, but The Pillage pushes past those games. Through its cynical yet enjoyable objective of harvesting kidneys it follows in the footsteps of games like Minecraft, in that at first it is a hard sell to people, but once you start playing there is an incomprehensible desire to keep playing. I makes you want to 100% the game, purely because it is a game at heart. So many games are created to make money, while The Pillage has one creator who enjoys developing it for fun. There is no price tag for a pure game and that is what The Pillage is, well done!

[h1]It seems there was a mixup...I told them I was a VILLAGER, not a PILLAGER![/h1] Well, it happened...a fun little game about being a serial killer is being reviewed by me. [i]The Pillage[/i] is a fun arcade style game involving a kidney harvester who...well...kills to get what he wants. Cops? He kills them. Gangs? He kills them. Ghosts? He kills them. Angels? You get the picture...and yes, his blade is so powerful, he can slay the etherial! The goal is to kill and not be killed. Simple enough. You start out by walking around just like anyone else...but this is boring, you should totally murder that one guy who looked at you funny...or that girl who just up and rejected your *ss for some more handsome guy...people are looking so disgusting...and you need the money...their kidneys are just filled with money! Do it...you have to kill....you must kill....you WANT to kill!!! Being a murderer can be simple when you learn that you can take a flying leap to outrun your attackers...and no, I'm not saying to p*ss off, I mean that you can keep long jumping away from the cop to avoid their nightsticks and easily outrun them on their segways. If you're in need of health, just murder some ghosts...but if you murder enough ghosts, you'll upset the heavens as angels will come after you too. It's not YOUR fault you're a murderer! I know it sounds strange, but this short game (About 18 minutes for me to 100%) made murdering a fun experience without me feeling any remorse for the victims. I enjoyed the stress relief as I could vent out my inner poisons onto these pixelated people. If you're looking for easy and free achievements, this is your game. If you want a fun game that will work as some good stress relief, this is also your game. All in all, I'd say this game is right up your alley...but be forewarned, this game is clearly not for everybody. 9/10 I can kill ghosts and angels with my knife...I'm coming for you next, God!!!

Разбой - если бы чувак из первого Postal мог бы ходить только влево\вправо, орудовать ножом и любить жаренные почки на закуску, то это была бы та самая игра. Вот что вы делаете когда хотите пожарить почку на ужин? Наверное идете в магазин. Но наш герой не ищет легких путей, он идет по тропе давно и прочно протоптанной Ганнибалом Лектором. Берет нож в руки, и выходит на улицу в поиске нужного носителя заветной почечки. Правда Лектор был гурманом, наш же чувак любитель фаст-фуда ибо крошит всех подряд, от мирных жителей до гангстеров, от полицейских до ангелов. И так до самой смерти. Чтобы возродиться вновь. Геймплей бесконечный, нацеленный больше на постановку рекордов. К тому же во многом почти однокнопочный, ибо кроме клавиш движения, у нас есть только одна кнопка удара, зажав которую мы будем бить мощным, но медленным оружием (есть правда еще кнопка скилла, но его надо купить сначала). Почки идут на покупку нового оружия (с разными характеристиками, от дальности удара, до замедления персонажа при нем), перков и скиллов. Все это дело дают покупать после повышения уровня, и получения достижений. Отдельный момент с достижениями - их можно выбить все меньше чем за час. Другое дело что в игре они отображаются, но в Стиме могут не засчитываться. Лечиться перезаходом в меню, или в игру. После него все выбитые достижения падают в главном меню игры. Картинка тут стандарно "инди"-пиксельная, музыка неплохая, но не более. It was difficult to find good kidney donors these days, so instead of sitting around and waiting for good people who are slowly dying at the hospital in need of a healthy functioning kidney. I decided to take the matter into my hands and took the initiative. I went out to ask my neighbours if they could volunteer to donate their kidneys out of the goodness of their hearts. However, it was not only my neighbours, but also the police, gangsters, ghosts, and at times also the angels are more than willing to help me with this problem. All in all, I can say for certain that we are making a huge difference for the people in need of a kidney. I am proud of my community.

The Pillage is very much akin to flash games you'd find on Newgrounds or ArmorGames, but the defining feature of The Pillage is that it's on steam and gets updates every once in a while, and is quite violent. I've always loved Upgrade/Distance flash games, but those never really track a score or anything of the sort. This game has a worldwide leaderboard (Which I am at the top of as of this moment) which I feel greatly enhances the longevity of the game. As far as I know the developers don't seem like they made this for money, as there are no advertisements or purchasable items in the game. I wish it got updated faster, as it's really only good for a few hours of playtime to fully complete the game and a few more hours to get a good high score. Over all I recommend The Pillage if you have a few hours you need to spend not playing the other games you've bought and never downloaded. Also the only currency is kidneys.

overall a short casual/action game. nothing special.
