8.5/10 overall: deffo buy this if you're interested in a cool mini narrative told in a Hotline Miami-style shooter price: basically free -- after what steam takes out in fees etc. the dev is likely getting no money for selling at these prices. i got it for $0.79 on sale. you have no reason not to pick this up gameplay: [i]some[/i] things were a little rough around the edges. you get stuck on walls when you move into them, which makes it hard to peek when you need to. also, the enemies have random patrol patterns, whereas in Hotline Miami they had set patterns. the reason the "r to restart" thing works so well is that you can quickly start up again after dying, and use what you learned from the last run on the enemies who will be set up the same way. i really wished the enemies started in the same direction every life. [spoiler]also, the car chase scene was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ KICKASS. i wish Hotline Miami had implemented something like that. you pulled off the base formula for a car chase in a top down shooter really well. maybe some other kinds of enemies in the cars would be cool (lobbing grenades, getting up close and trying to shotgun you, etc)[/spoiler] music: most of the music in this game is short synth loops. they're pretty nice all around. some of the ones toward the end got a little grating. it would be cool to see some longer tracks too, maybe for the story-heavy interactions time/achievements: ~1hr if your reaction time is crusty like mine. the achievements will come as you complete the game without any extra effort, which is awesome.

this is a fun game and its kinda hard so its nice

Pretty good game, kinda like a scuffed hotline miami. Not super hard, but inconsistency may get on your nerves

I have no idea if the inconsistency of the enemy AI is intentional or not but honestly for the given price its a pretty good game
