As someone who crew up reading the Phantom comics and is still annoyed that they don't sell them in Finland anymore, this game is a treat. I do like the Jungle Drums playing when I click the option buttons, the style does feel accurate to Cesar Spadaris work and it has a decent amount of challenge to it.
My only experience with The Phantom was the Sega Genesis game. Being able to play this new game made me learn a lot more about the story and like the character. Pros: - Incredible art - Story telling - Many improvements and fixes in the launch week - Button to switch between pistol and unarmed - special who don't drain your health lol - A good variety of scenarios - Soundtrack - Co-op mode Cons - Little variation between enemies - Remote play together doesn't work (maybe they'll fix it in the future)
Nice looking hand drawn graphics and pretty good voice acting and decent combat but the viechle stages could been more zoomed out and the combat/movement can fell like getting stuck sometimes but could maybe be fixed with a patch perhaps. hoping to see a defenders of the earth game in the future.
The art style and animations are great, they really call back to the original comics and it's clear a lot of time and passion went into them. I don't often play beat-em-ups but I can honestly say I enjoyed my time with this game and look forward to what the developers are working on next.

Looks nice and fairly fun to play.
The character Phantom is the first masked hero in comic books. The game's art does full justice to the works of art published in 1930. The story is good and so are the sounds. I see people complaining about the gameplay. During my playthrough, I didn't find any bugs and I also understood the game's proposal, which is to be a more old-school game, in line with the character's own idea. In this regard, the gameplay doesn't disappoint. It's a good game.
The Phantom is a great beat em up with the storytelling heart of the good and old pulp magazines. The way it tells the story through comic panels is very immersive. The voice acting is also impressive. The gameplay mechanics are sweet and versatile, as you can fight with your fists, kicks and throws and also with your guns – with limited bullets – wich helps balance the use of ranged attacks, otherwise the game would be a shoot em up and not a beat em up. I liked very much this combination of close quarter fighting with shooting occasionally. The art of the scenario and sprites are beautiful. The idea of the vault is a nice complement to the gameplay, as you can read there about a bunch of amazing artifacts that were part of the history of Phantom´s lineage. I truly recommend this game to everyone, and remember – THE PHANTOM IS WATCHING, BEWARE EVIL DOERS!
The Phantom is a beat 'em up that immediately stands out with its stunning visuals, making players feel like they're stepping straight into a classic comic book. Every environment and character is thoughtfully crafted, capturing the charm and style of vintage graphic novels. The gameplay is solid and faithful to the genre’s roots, calling back to the golden era of 16 and 32-bit games with tight controls and well-paced combat. That said, this dedication to old-school design might not appeal to everyone—those expecting faster, more fluid action like in modern titles may find the pacing a bit slow. Still, The Phantom is a treat for fans of retro experiences, offering an engaging journey that pays loving tribute to the past. On the audio front, the game delivers just enough to support the experience, though it never quite steals the spotlight.
