While the game is out now, our work on The Phantom hasn't stopped. We're hard at work and have a big patch on the way that addresses the community's feedback.
Thank you so much for being a part of this journey. For more info on what's coming, see the discussion boards.

It's pretty buggy but I liked it. Hope they refine the combat system and do more QA. The art is gorgeous!
The game is simply unplayable. There are too many bugs for me to progress. At this stage, I cannot recommend it.
Lee Falk would be proud! The Ghost Who Walks, Walks Again!
It's an old school game for an old school character. It's very good to play a game with the original 21st Phantom, which is the main character of the whole series. I hope they keep up the good work and make more games of The Phantom!
Love the art style it's so immersive, it's like reading a comic book and playing the fights previously only available in your head. It took me a while to get used to the controls, on keyboard, too lazy to connect the controller. I wish I could turn Phantom when enemies come near my back and I'm panic pressing attack buttons. I later on discovered pressing the attack key and jump makes a back attack, which I can't always make. It would be nice for the game to listen to my left or right and turn Phantom after the current attack animation finishes. I like to double tap and up finish my combos a lot, but it got me stuck in the cave near a pillar, I guess I've a found a bug. I was simply attacking a group of enemies near the pillar. When picking up the stick I have to repeatedly press the i button, maybe the j button should be enough for picking up items. Also for the double tap I sometimes wish Phantom would still run a very short while after releasing the direction and allow to do the slide/elbow attack. Besides the few technical issues, which judging by other comments will be fixed soon, the game is a ton of fun and immersive. The atmosphere is SO nice, makes me want to play more to discover what more it has to offer! The story and art, music and everything immersion are great.
i have always wanted a ''the phantom'' game and now ive got one. i look forward to the lady death game coming out. thank you ash&billy!!!
i freaking love heroes from the golden age of comics or maybe before then but still, the Phantom is one of those characters like The Shadow or The Spirit, an Oldie but a REALLY Goody, the combat feels good and fitting for the beat em ups like Final Fight, Double Dragon, even the X-men Arcade Game, if you love old school superheroes that are probably decades older then you, you'll like this, only down side is the vehicle sections kinda blow
Just finished playing The Phantom on my Steam Deck, and I’ve got to say—I really enjoyed it. This game feels like an interactive comic book in the best way possible. The art style is one of its biggest strengths, pulling you into a gritty, graphic novel aesthetic that adds a ton of atmosphere to the action. Gameplay-wise, it was a blast. I’m not particularly skilled at beat-’em-ups, but I was still able to pull off some satisfying combos and string together flashy, impactful attacks. The combat feels intuitive and fluid, with a decent variety of combos and several special moves to experiment with. Some standout features for me: • The AOE attacks are visually exciting and fun to land. • Summoning your pet wolf to tear through enemies never gets old. • The firearm mechanics were a pleasant surprise—not only can you whip out your guns during combat, but there’s even an attack that lets you shoot both in front and behind you simultaneously. I haven’t seen that in other beat-’em-ups, and it added a unique layer of strategy. If I had to point out areas for improvement, it would be in the usual suspects: more enemy variety and more selectable characters. These feel like features that could be expanded with more time or budget, and honestly, based on what the devs have accomplished here, I’m really excited to see what they do next. The Phantom is a strong entry in the beat-’em-up genre. It’s stylish, fun, and packed with some truly memorable mechanics. Definitely worth checking out—especially if you’re a fan of side-scrolling brawlers or comic book-style storytelling.
