I found this game lots of fun to play, especially with a few friends. The game is simple enough to learn which makes it great for a quick party game. The visuals are pleasing to look at with several cool locations and a selection of quirky and unique characters (including a few non-otters) to pick from, my favourite being the otter "Lyra". Each character has their own abilities and attacks to keep gameplay feeling fresh, some abilities are really cool like "Noah" who bombards a target are with fish. Its all very fun. The sound is good too, the sfx are subtle and appropriate and the soundtrack fits in nicely too. The game was somewhat easy to grasp with its simple control scheme, I struggle with a games controller in shooters yet I quickly got used to the controller and was able to progress in the campaign, I even got a few kills in the versus! While the campaign levels got harder, I got better at the game and never struggled too much. The keyboard support could be a bit better however and although most things work fine, I struggled to dodge with a keyboard. The multiplayer suits having as many players as possible and is great with 4 players, most of the fun will come from playing with your friends, I have been lucky to experience 4 player multiplayer. Decorating your character with different gear was fun, I quickly unlocked a few items in the campaign which encouraged me to keep playing to unlock more, its all unlocked through playing, no microtransactions or anything at all which is great! The developers put a lot of care into the game and it shows in the characters, level designs, sound and music and even the menus. I did experience a couple of glitches but nothing major, and I now have a newfound hatred for the stun turrets! I rate the game as a really solid 8/10, there's room for improvement in a few areas but for a new studio its a excellent start. As a studio, they have excellent communication with their fans, especially on their discord and if you look on their youtube, facebook and twitter, you can see their dev logs which all look so professional, I expect great things from these guys.
Good game but keyboard support could be better.
This is a classic mix of joy where cute and fuzzy characters run around shooting lots of nasty enemies with their awesome space weapons. If you like animals in space, then this for YOU! ;) Courtesy of Tri-Heart Interactive. I've played around the tutorial of this game so far, and it's got some interesting mechanics. The jetpacks, the water, the special moves. Even the funny animations. I can't wait to see what's ahead.
Great game developed by an even greater team. Have seen the game getting developed over the last 3 years and the improvements are outstanding. If you're into your couch co-op shooters that are kid friendly and fun for everyone then this is a perfect game to play. Has its own campaign and plenty of different modifiers in game alongside some nice skins for the characters. Plus the levels look insane! Only downside is there is no online multiplayer.
1.3 hours in the game and we were loving it very much. For starters, I really liked the character design of the game. The cartoon style look n feel of the character is great. Environment works really well with the world of game and everything feels a good part of same world. The most fun part are the jetpacks. If you are looking for a new game to grab to play along with your friends, think no more! Grab The Otterman Empire \m/
♥♥♥♥♥
