Very fun tower defense game. Extremely polished!
If you like tower defense you'll like this game. While simple at first as you progress through the campaign you unlock a lot of customization and deck building options that turn a simple concept into an incredibly satisfying tower defense game. Having to weigh the options in your deck between having strong cards and having enough weak cards to build a long maze is really cool. Each map begins to have many decisions to play around the set pieces and decide how you wanna beat that level. Just a very calm chill game to relax and have some fun.
Addictive and very promising, I recommend it and can't wait to see what happens next :)
Loved it! I've never been into any tower defense game as much as this one, it really is special. I actually have to strategies the way I deploy my units and spend my gold, winning just feels so rewarding!! Recommend 100% !
Very fun! I'm not usually a big tower defense player but I like the fact that you can tailor the route of the enemies. Looking forward to seeing what gets added and changed in the future!
2-2-26 *** Swapped my recommendation to no. no updates in nearly a year. Game feels unfinished.*** I like this game. It's stylish. The art is quirky, and fun to look at. Very challenging curve in the campaign, I love the addition of the difficulty in the corner. I want more. Which leads to my feedback: Maybe I'm just an idiot, but I couldn't find Survival mode. I open the game, push play, campaign map opens up. I'm not sure I can even reset the game if I wanted to start over. Summary: Fun and stylish tower defense game that "could be better". +5 for playing well. +1 for an entertaining 15 hour campaign. 6/10
Great game if you are a fan of Tower Defence Games. Have played it for a few hours now and really enjoy it.
A mazing Tower Defense Game! Use your Brain again or you fail!
As a fan of old Warcraft 3 custom games and the old mobile game Fieldrunners, Necromancer Cometh is a fantastic new addition to this tradition of customize-able and challenging tower defense games. It scratches that exact spot that, for years, I just couldn't reach on a slow Thursday evening. The card based loudout system made me groan a little at first, but it's proved to be simple and intuitive. Combined with the randomized shop, no game is quite the same and you are forced to constantly evaluate and re-evaluate tower strengths per map. On the topic of maps, each level seems to have a set number of preplaced towers and hazards that characterize them, but the specific objects and nuances in layout change each time, possibly through procedural generation. The stable components have done an excellent job in inspiring new strategies and the search for new solutions, while the changing ones can be frustrating while resetting for a first clear; you can't always just try the same strategy with one tweak because a new tree might be in the way. But I do see the appeal for repeated runs. Lastly, the enemies thus far have been engaging enough. There are certain enemy quirks that I always make sure I have a solutions to in my loadout, and my loadout is never exactly the same map to map. I've even been able to get away with some really wacky strategies like only using the base melee tower with 30ish power-ups for some re-clears. Overall, as a fan of tower defense games that often feels let down by the new-releases, I couldn't recommend Necromancer Cometh more.
A fun indie Tower Defense game with a cute cartoon art style that is pleasant to the eyes, with a more so unique ability to move defenses around and re-maze at will to obtain extra map bonuses every wave.
