A neat tower defense game where you design your own route! It brings back fond memories for those who enjoyed playing Warcraft 3 mods in the past. The addition of deckbuilding brings customization and replay value, enabling you to tackle the game from different angles that suit your preferred playstyle. Excited to see what new content is added before the full release!
Enjoyed playing this game . It provides some fresh features around the Tower Defence genre around diverting paths of the enemies based off where you place your defences as well as the deck system which then forces you to make different choices around what defences you should put up vs always picking the same strategy no matter the level. Its also a fair challenge when it comes to the level design. The only minor thing to improve is somewhere to put information about the enemy types and their abilities (maybe something similar to how your defence tower information is given) so that its allows for defences to be adjusted accordingly. But apart from that, this missing info didn't take away from my enjoyment.
Very fun tower defense game. Extremely polished!
First Gameplay Video Link-https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gu6Ics0AU4U&t=8s TNC is such an amazing Tower Defense Game!!! The dark fantasy theme that TNC is based upon is amazing. If you liked the old Warcraft 3 TD maps this is a must have. TNC is so addicting and fun. I found myself playing more and more. Right now at the time of this review I'm at 21 hours in but I know I can easily sink 200 hours in like it was nothing. The Tower Defense mechanics are very solid and well developed. The Dang Rascals team is also very supportive and amazing. Currently this is Early Access but Dang Rascals has a roadmap and are popping out updates constantly. The Music and art are also epic that's so enjoyable visually and to listen to. Gameplay and performance for me was also really good don't really remember running into any problems off the top of my head. The gameplay loop is really engagin and addicting though and will have you addicted in no time. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend TNC even if you aren't into tower defense games this game is soooo much fun and addicting as a mofo!!! Can't wait to see what the future holds for TNC!!! I just know I'm all here for it!!!!
If you like tower defense you'll like this game. While simple at first as you progress through the campaign you unlock a lot of customization and deck building options that turn a simple concept into an incredibly satisfying tower defense game. Having to weigh the options in your deck between having strong cards and having enough weak cards to build a long maze is really cool. Each map begins to have many decisions to play around the set pieces and decide how you wanna beat that level. Just a very calm chill game to relax and have some fun.
I was attracted by the cartoony look and cozy feel. The ability to make my own path in tower defense game is always super big plus. I also love the fact that the round speed up options are right on top. I would recommend this for anyone that likes, cozy games, puzzle games, or easy tower defense games. It will be my choice for a bit after a long day at work.
The Necromancer Cometh! is a tower defense game I cannot get enough of and after 10+ hours it just keeps getting better. What originally drew me to this game was of course its art style and the promise of an engaging unique tower defense mechanic. Manipulable enemy paths. In the game, an enemy's path through the level is completely dependent on how you place your towers throughout. You can force enemy movement into zig-zagging, circles, etc. It's the main mechanic one has to be adept in to be successful in the game. On top of that there is plenty of tower types and strategies to keep you engaged (all with pretty cool art design too) for the campaign. The campaign is nothing to scoff at either. I find myself getting upset if tower defense games are too easy but I feel like the difficulty here is super balanced. You have to keep in mind enemy types during certain waves, not to mention the actual shape of the path you designed the enemy to take. Also, there's a whole deck building mechanic you have to balance to make sure you're bring in the right tools to the fight. Can't wait to see what else the developer has in store.
The Necromancer Cometh is a fun TD game that's worth picking up. The towers are pretty familiar, but the level designs are fresh! Each level has a unique layout that's altered a bit for each attempt. You'll fly through the early game as you get to know the cast and basic maze mechanics, but The Necromancer Cometh really starts to show its teeth in the last several levels. It's here that you'll get to meaningfully adjust your deck composition and experiment with different strategies. I'm excited to play through the Siren campaign when it's out! In a future version of the game, I'd love to see the developers fine tune the deck composition interface so that you can see more tower types on screen at once.
Decided to try this game out and I'm very glad I did. It is VERY fun gameplay. NO doubt the best Tower Defense game I've played. Also the graphics, sound and music nails it perfectly. All this game needs is MORE content and to be finished.
Jeu sympathique et très attractif, jeux de tower defense fort plaisant, capacité de créer son chemin!
