3/10 I was first drawn to this game by the premise and by the interesting graphical style. I like a good mystery, and I wanted to see what sort of twisted shenanigans transpired in Happyville. Unfortunately, the game does not control well, at least with keyboard and mouse. The controlled panning with the flashlight that you see in the game's trailer would be difficult to recreate. To make matters worse, many of the game environments are extremely dark, compounding the flashlight issue. Navigation is made worse through the clumsy camera angles you are presented with. Amusingly, the developer seems to understand how awkward the camera angles can be and refrained from placing enemies in obscured locations. In the game, you can attack with your fists, with an axe, or with a pistol. However, pistols only have 6 shots a piece, and you're given no indication of ammo count. Therefore, you may find yourself (as I did) repeatedly picking up empty pistols in certain areas, clicking blankly at enemies before you're shot yourself. These issues might be more bearable if the game had an interesting tale to tell, but it doesn't. Some enemies laugh maniacally and others wear smiley-face masks, but as the game concluded, I still had no idea what happened in Happyville. The game ends abruptly, and you are sent back to the main menu without any more insight into what happened there.
An amusing, admittedly short romp through a horror-esque adventure. I found some fun to be had with this one though really there is no detective work or investigating to do. its more so you have to go from A to B to trigger the next stage with enemies coming at you that you will have to eliminate. The game had its moments though so I will give it a pass for sure. Pro-Tip:
The axe is your best friend till you get to the office then you will find more use for the gun!
Short, bad controls, useless flashlight.. i mean the idea of being a detective is nice but you are not doing any detective work! FML

♥♥♥♥ THE OTHERS - i enjoyed the game
It's not a bad game very linear just go where its's obvious there are no secrets i found. For $4.99 it's decent simple game. A short game very little depth which kind of expected. I would say it's story is kind of told through blood splattering signs and imagery more so than anything. Though no real "answer" is given. Ending could have a bit more to it. Biggest issue i have is the game play. the controls are a bit-off and seem a bit delayed. There is no sprint indicator and he really can't run for long periods. This and the weapon system is more realistic. Since if you see a revolver laying on the ground you can't immediately tell how many bullets are in it and there is no indicator once you pick it up either. Every revolver has 6 shots but if you pick up one you dropped accidentally its still empty. There are tons of weapons around once they spawn so little worry about that. It is odd you can't pick up enemy weapons though. Also the aiming is a bit odd. There are times the gun will seem to fire and it will go like 6 feet and hit the ground instead of where I am aiming. this was intermittent and not a serious issue although it happened when i had two clowns chasing me and then i re-spawned right on top of them after dying. so died like 4-5 times before i could kill them with no weapon and spawning right next to them. It is a nice quick play through although I don't see any replay value. It is a nice starter game or quick game. Could definitely use some more depth to it but for $4.99 it is decent value. If you like short games like this or want to play with some friends it can be fun.
