lots of fun if you have friends
game is aight needs more work
People been giving this game a pretty hard time in the reviews, but I don't get it. It's pretty good! It's exactly like the demo was too, so I dunno, maybe you guys should have played the demo first before getting this and fighting with how the game's supposed to be played! The gameplay is exploration based, and it's a dense jungle, so you go slow and careful, attack enemies by surprise when you can, stay quiet. People complaining about how the guns are slow and useless -- this isn't Farcry, bud! You wake up the entire forest if you shoot a gun! Use bows or a crossbow! Stay quiet! I'm having a fun time even in solo mode. It really isn't easy, but I just keep wanting to go back in that forest! The game looks GREAT! The co-op is really where it shines though, the hallucination and madness mechanics are so damn fun! I really recommend you get a friend to play with you, it's MUCH more fun. There are downsides though: performance isn't stellar right now (still very playable on my machine though), but they just announced they're working on that so I'm sure it'll be fixed pretty soon. UX isn't great either, it's uninstinctive and putting away ammo in the cart can be a headache for no good reason, so hopefully they'll get to fixing that too. Apart from that, seen a few visual bugs, but nothing huge. I really think this game is not getting a fair chance from players, I dunno, maybe it's not their style and they were expecting some big action PVE... and it ain't. It's slow and tense! I love it! Just play the demo first to know what you're getting into and take your time, it's worth it!
The atmosphere in this game is second to none. I love horror games, but they just don't really scare me anymore. But this game got me spooked a good few times, and I love it. It is definitely early access, I will admit. There are a LOT of systems that need overhauled, primarily inventory management and melee combat. Inventory management is already being fixed, but melee combat is just extremely unforgiving, especially if you play solo. You have no block or dodge, and your weapon can sometimes break in like 5 swings, other times it lasts all mission. The worst is how easy it is to lose your grip on your weapon for seemingly no reason, like I snuck up on a guy and swung my sword at him, did the execution but my sword still dropped. I feel like that has to be a bug, but you will drop your weapon a LOT. There are also a couple enemies that feel like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to go against, particularly a flying one that will chase you endlessly and kills you almost instantly. But even with these complaints, I keep wanting to play more. The sanity system is definitely what sells me. Playing multiplayer and seeing a swarm of enemies and knowing that one of them is my partner, but his voice is distorted so I can't tell which, it was hilarious. Some of the hallucinations are just goofy, like it'll stick an enemy model to your ally that just dances next to him as he moves. Others make the game even more spooky, like getting blood rain while being stalked by a certain enemy (not gonna spoil what the enemies are). I also love how punishing the game is for trying to just slaughter everything you see. If you go in guns blazing, you are going to get absolutely SWARMED with enemies, as gunshots will attract enemies from across the map. There are a lot of complaints about this, but honestly I think that's mostly just people treating this like Left 4 Dead. There is an issue with the cart, you can tell it to return to the boat so you can follow it back, but doing so spawns an endless horde of enemies, which does feel a bit too punishing. It really just incentivizes you to just never use that feature. Hopefully they'll calm that down a bit, but otherwise I really enjoy the current enemy density. Overall I think the game is definitely worth trying. It does need a lot of work, but if you treat it like an early access title, it feels a lot more put together. Definitely better with friends, as the sanity feature does the heavy lifting and you'll miss out on a lot of it if you play solo.
badass game, went into the jungle it was raining couldn't shoot my gun; then the cthulu diddy monster eated my ass.
This game rocks. Thew graphics are great and the longer you are on the mainland the crazier it gets. The sheer amount of visual hallucinations you can experience yourself or as a group is crazy. Have I lost a lot of runs? Yes! Have I had fun every time? yes! There are certainly improvements that are needed that it sounds like the devs are actively working on rolling out and beta testing. This is one of those games where you can get into a random squad and have a blast. If you are reading reviews to try and see if this game is worth getting, I think it is. Do be aware when you start playing though that a lot of the mechanics are intentionally hidden to give you grief on some runs early on, but if you do not think that form of learning is fun, there are plenty of tips guides online.
Really enjoyed the demo's vibes and they seem to have continued into the main game. I'd usually not review so early, but since a lot are about poor optimisation, I'll say my experience has been perfectly good with my card, so if my specs are similar to yours and you are reading this review, you should be okay.
优化一般,没有帧生成慎入,游戏模式有点单一而且最后关卡不如前面关卡
