The Manse on Soracca

I like the retro design, especially for the Lovecraftian creatures!!! I ventured through many rooms before I lucked into the storeroom with crates that allowed me to proceed deeper into the game. Amusingly, creatures grabbing you seems to move the game along or cause just a surprising event. I like being able to destroy things to discover artifacts or helpful items. I love the descriptions of the objects and paintings inside and outside of the manse. I gifted this came to a friend and to a relative for them to have some fun too.

The Manse on Soracca just looks like a little retro-style horror game about exploring a mansion at first glance, but it's much more interesting than that, and I'm surprised it hasn't gotten more attention. Despite some frustrating parts, it has some great puzzles. I'm happy I kept working at it until I reached the end. [spoiler]And now I'm spreading the game's curse by telling more people about it.[/spoiler]

Interesting game. The music is appropriately creepy, the lore building in the game is really well done. An ominous feeling is continuously building. Highly reccomended if you are a fan of mystery solving kthuluesque experiences.

Its gameplay is very basic, but thats fine given the inspiration the gameplay came from. I ran into a handful of glitches that should be fixed by now, that I helped the dev find on stream. Theres a lot of tiny details that work great for gameplay like, when you get access to em, the attack and flash light are right next to eachother so you can easily swap in dark areas. Parts of progression requires you to know Lovecraftian lore, but theres enough hints to help you out, even if you have to google what you need to know. The map isnt complex. But its complex enough to need you to remember where to go. Nothing felt out of place in progression until the last 30 minutes, and you'll know what I mean when you get there. Ultimately, for a game made by, I THINK 4-5 people, it's an 8/10

I really enjoyed the art style of this game. It has that retro pixel art vibe. The music is also really nice. I also like how the story is told through interacting with the environment. It really adds to the mystery that the game is setting up. The game is kind of spooky though, even on the easier mode with less obstacles.

A very unique game, looks and feels retro but with a more nuanced plot and game progression. Paying close attention to the environment is critical but the game is forgiving enough that the player isn't discouraged if they miss a detail or get killed. If you're a fan of retro-stylized games or Lovecraftian storytelling, the game is definitely worth checking out. There's a clear attention to detail if you're the type of player who likes to interact with everything. My only concern with the game stemmed from my poor sense of direction- I got lost quite often. However, a recent update addressed this problem and made the game much easier for me to play through. Overall, absolutely a game worth checking out!

Very SPOOOOOOKY GAME! The Gameplay, Music, art, and story are Fantastic! A variety of rooms to explore and scary Monsters. The puzzles are hard and you need to use creative problem solving to unlock the mysteries of the Mansion.

Fantastic game combining simple gameplay elements with more complex themes. The retro style and music add to the game's atmosphere. I loved the lore and progression of investigating the Manse. The developer updated with new difficulty modes. I can't wait to replay under the Four Moons and find new things! If you enjoy Lovecraftian works, spooky stories, or mysteries you will absolutely love this game!
