Look for treasure that might bring two people closer than ever before. It should be noted right away that this is a story-first type of game. Saying anything about it would lessen the overall experience. All you need to know is that Beth and Adam, two pals, go to search for an earring in fields near a farm. Beth discovered one earring when she was a child, but she couldn't find the other for years because the farm owner wouldn't allow it. Now that he has died and the farm is being sold, Beth and Adam have one week to find it before the place is sealed off. But while Beth is obsessed with finding the earring, Adam is there for another reason. You play Adam, and Beth communicates with you via walkie-talkie. Because you don't hear or meet any other characters, the story concentrates entirely around these two. You can sometimes choose between two responses, but they don't lead to any unexpected routes or conclusions. This is a game with a predetermined plot. But don't expect any twists or surprising themes; it's quite bland. Accents in voices actors are extremely evident and have a British undertone. If you can look past that and certain stereotypes, you'll discover some excellent voice acting. Both personalities are believable and do not simply read the lines. There are lovely tiny additions like sighs and laughs sprinkled throughout. There's one thing I didn't like the closer I got to the end: the female is selfish and entitled. The relationship between the two characters gets dangerously close to toxic. If you think you'll struggle to follow the plot, you can turn on subtitles. Text and voices cannot be skipped. Well, not straight away. There is an odd feature that is actually meaningless, especially if the subtitles are turned off: you can only skip when the voice is nearing the end of a sentence. The chance to skip lasts for a second or two before the story continues on its own, so the feature is clearly unnecessary. Although interaction with game’s world is present in a form of metal detecting activity, it’s not exactly exciting or groundbreaking. The idea is to sweep a field with a metal detector and collect whatever you find. Graphics are decent, but not remarkable. You only walk across empty fields so there’s not much to see. The countryside is nice with houses and wind turbines on the hill, but there’s nothing that would stand out. The detectors' pinging sound and visual aids alert you when you're approaching something interesting. Most objects are random and might be found anywhere on the field. The discovered object is then photographed and sent to Beth. She shares her thoughts, and you begin searching for another object. However, finding stuff isn’t that important. It's really just something to do while you wait for Beth to call with new story bits. You don’t even have to find everything. You have a map of the area, but it is only handy if you neglect to pick up your equipment near the digging site. Aside from the achievement of locating everything, there is no idea how many objects are hidden in a field for a single day. Once completed, you proceed to the next day and field, and so on until the end. If you missed anything, you can always go with new game plus or select a day.

A short, but very enjoyable, walking simulator. The visuals are very pretty and the voice acting was top notch.

This is more of a chill experience than a true game, but relaxing and has a decent story with excellent narration. It's the right length and has enough variation and story around each object to make things interesting.

It's a nice little story and adventure with, yes, very simple mechanics. Finish-able in about 3 hours, I don't regret playing it, which I think is a better measure of a game for value at times. If you like relaxing little stories and aren't expecting the world, you'll like it. The scenery in the game is a real bonus, it's lovely, and the voices are nice.

I'm not sure to recommend it for all people. If you want to spend 2-3 hours on a relaxing game, sure this ones is for you. But if you search for anything where you can accomplice something... then no. This is more of a story than a game really. But it's not bad. I enjoyed myself, although I was expecting something more.

Game was fun and Story was okay. 7/10. Wish you could skip dialog or at least do anything, while dialog. Second Run for the last achievements was very annoying to go through all that again, with no option to skip

The gameplay part of this game is great, but the story was not. I spent the entire time getting annoyed by the story progressing when I just wanted to use the metal detector. I honestly would have preferred a simple metal detector game instead. It's also way too short.

Рекомендую, но не как симулятор, а как историю из диалогов. Если хотелось бы симулятор, то не стоит.

Couldn't play for more than 15 minutes ; it's so slow and so boring. The visuals are nice though. I LOVED Firewatch so much, I was expecting alot. Was let down...

This game was in my wishlist for a long time, I was glad to have the chance to share it with my community. It was fun, and a genuinely good experience.
