The Low Road

A modern day point-and-click game with an emphasis on a distinctive art style paired to a retro-style 90s buddy-cop dynamic. This made me strangely nostalgic for the old point-and-click games, like Monkey Island. The art style is eye-catching and a pleasure to behold, which made me more patient with the slow walking and climbing (again with the stairs!) animations. I really enjoyed the mini-games when you’re trying to accomplish some of the tasks. It made the game more interactive compared to regular P&C games - the bonus is that it’s not the same type of puzzle so there’s not a lot of repetition. There are 6 chapters for you to go through, with their own music and starting cards, and seeing the story progress is a treat. It did end up more complex than I originally perceived but I’m starting to see that <spoiler>cults are almost a staple in American stories</spoilers>. Although I did enjoy the story and the art, some of the gameplay mechanics took me out of the experience. For some mini-games, there’s no explanation or return button so you need a walkthrough or you need to be more intuitive to what the puzzle is asking you to do. Or perhaps it’s a skill issue because I struggled at certain parts to determine the correct sequence of events. Rarely do I get indie games with full voice actors so when I’m blessed with one, I don’t speed read the dialogue. Although I enjoy our main character’s voice, there are some that don’t really fit the personality and character they’re voicing. Special shoutout to Sebastian - I skipped most of his dialogue because the voice grated on my ears. Another point of improvement would be the interactable items around the world. I missed some options since the highlight color when you mouse over them isn’t that different from the base color. Please. I can’t see what I’m clicking and why it’s different. All-in-all I would recommend this if you’re nostalgic or if you just want to play something with minimal gameplay but with a lot of love!

[h2] 玩完让人想扶额“这都什么跟什么啊”但又忍不住笑一下的游戏 [/h2] 特工新人整顿职场（bushi) 无中文且全程对话无法暂停，有涉及跨章节的双结局成就，所以对全成就完美主义玩家来说可能不友好。游戏内容不多，可玩性其实也不强，但幽默的对话与出色的全配音+配乐是真的大加分，配上手绘质感的场景画风，复古味拉满。 80年代特工们都开始通过电话你虞我诈时，急功近利的特工少女迫切想要获得外勤机会的故事。女主出手就是挑拨离间出卖队友嘲讽老板挑衅总管偷鸡摸狗，一边骑驴找马推销自己一边最终通过拉上龟毛搭档闯入[strike]神奇科技公司搞 [/strike]破坏......通过离谱的特工任务来证明自己的特（搞）工（事）才能。 因为英语水平有限，后期我玩得半懂不懂的，但不求甚解只要能看懂大概的话也可以get到不少幽默。剧情中有一些可爱且难度不高的小游戏（不懂直接看攻略）整体还是对话占了大多数。总之很复古很无厘头，如果完全不熟悉美式笑话和欧美流行文化梗的话可能会觉得无聊。 主线剧情固定，不过坏结局倒是很多节点，一旦“辩论”“对话”彻底选错走BE，游戏会在出BE结尾后直接倒带返回，所以我觉得还挺有趣的。感兴趣的话推荐史低入。

Great point and click adventure for 2-3 sessions. Nice graphical style, nice dialogs with a good sense of humor (that's subjective, but I liked it). Puzzles were pretty ok, never overstayed their welcome and were pretty well explained if You paid attention. Good one, if You like point an click adventures you won't be disappointed.

it tells an intresting story but i find it kind of wierd that the early character play major roles in the end it's a short expirince the only issue i had was there was no ingame settings for sounds or anything accept language

Can't pause on cutscenes, can't change config in-game, in fact u have to set up config before opening the game UI is just not present. Skip
