Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.

only solo // not playing MP qualifier. about to start chapter 7 (normal - not sure ill play through again), and it feels definitely janky, but in a nostalgic way. i have not played this before, but i played the TT and ROTK ps2 games a lot and it definitely reminded me of it - though that memory is likely quite faded. the heavy lifting i feel is the LoTR label and interacting with all the well known characters from middle earth. they have a lot of real lore to share and its just fun to be a part of it. though i think if this had been an original idea itd fall flat. combat is pretty simple. combinations of enemies are never difficult, just annoying. AI heroes body block you frequently, enemies in dying animation body block you. i get frequent UI bugs with what i have equipped and its stats and trying to examine others i want to compare. ive had quest rewards "info" box just pop up a blank screen, then i get no rewards from the quest box (you pick between 1-4 ish items). dialogue reminds me of solasta, poor but endearing to an extent. there are some easter egg references embedded in dialogues which is fun to see. speaking of i guess others in solo play were able to change characters and not just in the end level screen? must be a bug since i cannot do that. but i do think going through the dialogue is my favorite so far. speaking with many known characters was quite fun to hear the lore drops. tldr: lore and being a part of the story is fun for me, so the LoTR part carries the title quite a bit. combat is eh. its rough around the corners (for the current year). no crashing bugs, just mostly UI related bugs. decent pick up 6/10 maybe wait for a sale. edit- ok completed normal. eh. i dont think ill play again. but it was definitely an ok game

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I used to play this back in the day, and the Legacy Edition did not disappoint. I have so many great memories playing the original game as a kid, so seeing it make a surprise return to Steam was an instant buy for me. The original was classic Snowblind fun, but let’s be real—it was a technical mess back then. The crashes, save bugs, and locked-in character choices could be pretty frustrating. This new Legacy Edition fixes pretty much all of that: • Massive stability upgrade: Moving to a 64-bit build and DirectX 12 makes a huge difference. Runs super smooth on modern PCs without the constant crashing of the old release. • Character hot-swapping: Being able to switch between Eradan, Andriel, and Farin mid-level instead of only between hubs is such a great quality-of-life change. • Working multiplayer: Matchmaking actually works out of the box now, making co-op just as addictive as it was years ago. • The same brutal combat: The hack-and-slash gameplay, dismemberment, and loot progression are completely intact. It’s not a full remake, but as a refreshed, modernized version of a nostalgic gem, it’s totally worth it. Great to finally have it back in the library!
Horribly clunky and glitchy game. Honestly seems like something they put together in a couple weeks as a cash grab. Combat sucks, story and dialogue is embarrassing. Has to be the worst game i have played in years. Feel genuinely scammed.
Отличная игра! С удовольствием прошёл её снова! А теперь я требую возвращения всех классических игр по властелину колец! Таких как битва за средиземье 1 и 2 + вич кинг, хоббит, война кольца, возвращение короля и т.д. и т.п.

Good work, no bugs
Играл еще со времен Xbox 360, это шедевр
Currently don't recommend for playing on Linux. I know Mint is not the best Linux Gaming OS, but all other games work fine. Tried different Proton Versions, even GE, still lagy. Also my XBox Controller seems to work only very inconsistently only in this specific game.
This is really awesome until you realize that the game you're playing is Lord of the Rings: War in the North.
1Sekunde nachtgedacht , Gekauft. Backflash to the roads von guten Games wie sie einst gut waren und heute auch seien sollten aber meist nicht sind :(
