Controls on index do not seem to work. Can't keep gun in hand or cant holster gun depending on which mode i use. Can't interact with screens without it pushing me away and have to lean down because my height is too tall and no height setting available in game.
After playing for a few hours of A Long Survive, my initial impressions are pretty positive. Even though it is in Early Access, the gameplay is very polished. What I liked the most is the weapon realism and the reload and consumables mechanics. I also loved the difficulty is high, it makes some really insane moments against the massive hordes of bugs. I hope, being an indie studio, they continue to bring out more content. Cant wait to try multiplayer mode!
Conceptually fine but difficult to play because the game lacks a lot of accessibility features. The starting pistol and all handgun grip weapons project from your hand at a very uncomfortable angle (playing with a Quest Pro via Steam Link app) and there are no options to adjust this. You cannot change the graphics settings off of Performance (and 'Quality' is the only other option with no specifics), and I can't tell if this is a UI issue or if the game just genuinely does not support changing that setting. The UI in general is very frustrating as you have both a pointer with digital pressing via hitting your trigger at a distance, but *also* analog button functionality where you press with your virtual finger, which has terrible feedback so you don't even realize it's happening and undoing whatever you were configuring. Worse still some buttons only work with the virtual finger interactions, which can fail if one of your hands is engaged with another interactable. There isn't enough content in the game at present and the gameplay loop is not interesting enough solo to justify dealing with the above issues at this time.
Cool and fun gameplay loop. Just wish if they added a story mode or maps progression.
I will recommend this, but only on the assumption that this is a work in progress. It has potential, but so far it's pretty glitchy. There's lots of cases of the Bugs getting stuck in side walls, or just standing in one place without moving or attacking. I also had a glitch where my left hand just disconnected from my body, and I couldn't play that match anymore. The Good: I like the graphics and design of the characters and enemies. The game is very similar to Guardians Frontline, but has more realistic weapons. The fact that ammo is limited, even if you do have a lot of it, is a plus in my mind. The fact that have a limited area where you can power deployables, also makes it so your placements have to be more strategic. I like that. And the fact that you have different characters you can play, each with their own specialization, is another plus. Overall I like the mechanics of this game more than Guardians Frontline.
Напрочь сломано управление в игре, ощущение что игра тестирование вообще не проходило. Чтоб можно было целится нужно сломать кисти рук. Как такие баги вообще допустили в прод? тестирование вообще тестирует игру?
So, I must of JUST jumped onto this game when this bug hit, and that was some very bad luck. The patch fixed the hand placements (for the most part i believe) but still feels... a little weird holding and trying to aim down the irons on some of the weapons. I do hope this game comes out great considering there really aren't to many PVE CO-OP games via VR. Best of luck.
