I want to give it a mixed review, but since there aren't any, i have to give it a thumbs down.. The Lingering Last Customer is a fixed cam horror game that gives you a nostalgic feeling with the old PlayStation 1 poly graphics. You play as Devi, a young woman drained from working overtime. Desperate for relaxation, she books a late-night massage at the only place that is still open, Ahola Spa & Reflexology. When Devi arrives, a therapist named Susan greets her, providing the comfort she craves. But the longer Devi stay at the Spa, she realize something terrifying awaits her inside the massage parlor. The story is pretty simple, you jump right into it and you can complete the game in around 90 minutes or less. This seems to be episode 1 according from the game title screen, so i want to talk about the pros and cons in the first episode. Pros: 1. Scary place design with alternation between 2 worlds like Silent Hill. 2. Detailed character design especially the face. Cons and bugs: 1. Sometimes the camera didn't follow the player when the player move to another angle, the cam will be fixed in their position until the player return to their previous cam position. 2. When opening doors sometimes the player will T-pose for a split second. 3. Maybe it's just me, but the framerate limiter didn't work, tested on every screen res with vsync on/off. It will always play at fixed 30 fps. 4. The transition from gameplay to a cutscene / cutscene to gameplay didn't feel smooth, mostly it feels awkward. 5. An item name tag that is on the next room sometimes shown up in your current room and can be seen from the wall. 6. Weird inconsistent walking control especially when switching cam angle. 7.
In the last section, i've picked up a knive, but it gave me a tip box key instead?
Suggestion: 1. It would be cool if the dev can add Bahasa Indonesia for the text, or English as an voice option for Devi voice recording. 2. Character voice should be repeated in every sentence in a dialogue not just in the first sentence so it didn't became quiet quickly. 3. Ghost sound is to small and it's only a footstep sound, add a scream or screeching sound maybe? 4. The game is too silence, need more sound effect to enrich the atmosphere. For me this game feels mediocre and didn't have anything strong to make it a good one, if you're someone who likes to try a random horror game that kinda reminds you with Fatal Frame or any fixed cam horror game, then you can try The Lingering Last Customer but don't expect much from it.
i think this game is ok, in terms of story also good, the jumpscare is also ok, and susan looks super sus and scary. but i hope they have Indonesian subtitles and btw the text is so fast i haven't finished reading it and it's already gone :")
As a self-proclaimed scaredy-cat, I absolutely loved this game! The unique gameplay angle, engaging mechanics, and immersive storytelling make it an unforgettable experience. It may be simple, but you can really feel the dedication poured into every detail of the narrative. I’d love to see more tales like this from all around Indonesia, there’s so much potential for incredible stories to be told!
ok la untuk game konoha, tapi control nya gk asek, pusing banget kepala guwe. live solusinya wadidaw omaiwaw
Let me say I appreciate the Devs for giving me a Key to their new game. With that being said, I honestly can't recommend (The Lingering) Last Customer. It sucks to say that, but it's just not a good game. I'm gonna keep it short on here because I have a Youtube video with my full opinion, link below. First off, the movement controls for the game are so weird and complicated. The game is using a hybrid between Tank Controls and Free Movement, but it doesn't work well. If you're using Mouse and Keyboard, you'd use WASD to move, but it all depends on whatever way you're facing. That might not be a big deal to some people, considering the Tank Control design, but seeing as the game tried to also combine Free Movement with that (think Resident Evil 1 Remastered), it becomes a jumbled mess. Second, the game doesn't have a save system, IF you try and quit out of it. I didn't finish the game because I didn't care to finish it, so when I found out about that, I was really disappointed. Clearly the game is meant to be finished in one sitting, but considering how complicated the controls are followed by the survival mechanics, it's hard to be patient with it. Third, the "choice" system doesn't make sense at all. I'm not sure if there are different endings, but it does have text that pops up at times saying, "This action will have consequences". Of course you'd think that obviously means it has different endings, but the game doesn't offer you enough choices to justify that mechanic. At most, they'll give you three choices of text to choose from, but one of them, which says "Leave" from time to time, doesn't actually mean you leave. It just means to exit the conversation, which is so stupid because at one point that and one other choice were available, which doesn't make sense if you're going for different endings. Lastly, the game doesn't offer much of anything to justify the game style it's going for. It wants to be a survival horror game with choice mechanics, but everything is so simple and almost bland. Lore-wise, I assume the game mechanics make sense to the Devs, but gameplay-wise, it doesn't make sense at all. I really wish they would've made this game First Person. I think it would've not only been better in terms of mechanics and design, but it also would've been actually been scary. It's hard to explain my opinion on the game through text, so if you want a better explanation, just watch my video below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3ltoyfk5WE&pp=0gcJCb0Ag7Wk3p_U
"Why? Is our service not good enough for you to finish it?" - Susan =================================================================== This Game is gonna be the first of many, and I'm in for it! I really love the "everyday life" Horror Story like this, though I'm also scared because it could be relatable. The overall story is good, but the Gameplay is something that needs to be handled better next time. I didn't really like the "tank control" because it confused me, but I think it's because they tried a "modernized" tank control (?) Honestly, I forgot the tank control from back then from Resident Evil and Silent Hill. But, the Graphic is unique in a good way that I can still enjoy playing this Game. The Objective is pretty simple, and you can finish the whole Game within a short amount of time. Can't wait to see the next title of (The Lingering). =================================================================== I'm gonna give this Game "Devi" out of "Ahola".
If you're into retro-style visuals and fixed camera perspectives, "(The Lingering) Last Customer" is worth checking out. I really dig the atmospheric horror, it creates an eerie world that looks great despite its retro aesthetic. It's a short but solid horror experience, around 90 minutes long, and the fact that it's based on a true story makes it even more unsettling. What’s interesting is that the developer seems to gather real stories from people for each episode, meaning future episodes could have very different and unique horror experiences. I admit the game has a couple clunky moments, but nothing that ruins my experience personally. Despite that, I still enjoyed it and as a starting point, it sets a decent pillar for future episodes.
Minus: 1. Kurangnya subtitle indonesia dan ini harus sebenarnya 2. Penguasaan gerakan karakter pingin marah rasanya Pokoknya sukses buat dev indo!
The Lingering Last Customer is a pretty cool game with unique controls. The concept is refreshing, and I seriously love the puns they sneak into the story, lol. It shows a lot of potential, and I’m excited to see how it grows. Definitely worth checking out!!!
