The line, is a game with puzzles integrated into the narrative. The story takes place in a dystopian future, where the sea level rose so much that it flooded most of the planet, thus collapsing societies.

To be honest the game shouldn't have a price at all. It should be free, if anything. And here's why;

The game plays so badly you'd think it's in alpha stage, I had to go back and check if it was in early development and I wasn't confusing it with another game...
You can literally write in the menu, like write your own text, it's bizzare, I've never seen that before in a game. It's not a feature, it's a bug. How can there be such obvious bugs at the start of a game already, surely you would have seen it to begin with and fixed it by the time you release it.
The game is full of invisible walls.
If you select resolution, in my case 1080p, it crashes.
The puzzles are really weird and don't really have any logic to them...
There's no motion blur or headbob controlls so you will get really sick.
I feel bad for saying it but it's so far really boring but I will try to finish it.
Yes, the game is not perfect but I really liked the story. I kept me interested through out the whole game. This is your first game? That's awesome. I'm sure you'll keep getting better. Can't wait for your next game. Good job.
Before I start with the review I've got something to say, the entire game was made by one person. It's his first game, look at it like the first steps into game development.
Summary
Positives: [✔] Graphics [✔] Story [✔] Puzzles [✔] Fair price Negatives: [✖] Missing UI features (e.g. mouse sensitivity/volume slider) [✖] Misplaced objects (e.g. some windows with gaps on the borders) [✖] Some puzzles could've been explained better
Conclusion
I've enjoyed the game, if you like to read & solve some puzzles give the game a try. As i've said before the price is fair & you also support an upcoming game developer, there are some things I don't like (listed under negatives) but if you can look over them you're going to enjoy the game.
I bought this game simply because some of the reviewers here were busting the devs chops. It is a bit buggy at this point, but is promising. It's $1.99, as much as you'd spend for a cheap cup of coffee, and the visuals are good, so if it's this guy's first offering, let him fix it, and then if it still doesn't work, dump on him. Give the guy a chance, I want more games from guys like this. Stop being so impatient. It's a process, hence the $1.99 price tag.
This game was interesting to say at the least. The story was intriguing and after the fourth chapter, I had a hunch of who was behind it. Thus, I was correct but I did not expect that ending. Kudos to the developer for this being the first game (and a team of one). If you like these type of games, it may be suitable for you. Giving this a recommendation because I can tell that the developer worked hard for this and you have my support! I hope to see in the future even more games from you. Pros: -Nice visuals and sounds -Movement was smooth -Third puzzle was by far the best one in the game that I enjoyed (implement that one in your future puzzle games!) Cons: -The last puzzle (maybe in the note, he could hint at time?) -No landing sound after jumping -No inventory system Work ons: -Try to implement an inventory system for collecting the notes (to negate the fact of writing important stuff down or running all the back to the note) -The last puzzle, it was more confusing than the others (I eventually got it, but I had to go to the discussion board to figure it out even though I did have a hunch of how to solve it.) -Update the story some, I want to know who we are and why we are there..like why do we start where we do? Why are there to begin with, are we from the Other Lines? I know in the description it lists that, but it should also be integrated into the beginning of the game (like you see yourself traveling to the start area, and cinematic text is displayed to tell you who you are and what your mission is.)
