About
The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante is a narrative-driven RPG that comes to life on the pages of the protagonist's journal. Set in a ruthless world where any form of dissent is mercilessly crushed, the story follows a man who has dared to challenge the existing order. Set out on a lifelong journey and become an individual able to carve out their own destiny... But remember that freedom never comes cheap.
Life in the Great Arknian Empire is harsh and its hardest Lot is yours by the circumstance of birth. You are a commoner, holding no rights and no title. To seize your fate and become the rightful heir to the legacy of the Brante family you will have to come to grips with ossified tradition and prejudice. Embarking on a life-long journey from one's birth until true death, you will have to endure great upheavals, face adversity, and make many difficult choices. Every decision will affect not only the protagonist, his family, and loved ones, but may even topple the foundation of the Empire itself.

At the turn of time
Every imperial citizen's life is predetermined by their estate. The deities known as the Twin Gods have bestowed this truth to the world, dividing mortals into Lots. The nobles lead and rule over others, while the clergy guides people on the one true path, and the lowborn suffer, toiling away for the glory of the Empire. You may accept your fate without question, but it is also in your power to change the cosmic order that governs all.

Your choice is not an illusion
Divided into chapters, the game keeps track of the player's deeds, the skills they acquired, as well as other overlapping circumstances that shape a unique plotline for each playthrough. Every decision has its consequences and you will be held accountable throughout the entire journey. To protect your family and loved ones, to impose the rule of the Emperor and make a fortune, or to try and change the world as you see fit... Make your choice, but beware of the follies of pride and ambition.

Fight for your life
One man is anything but omnipotent in this realm yet under your guidance, Sir Brante may become a person who can endure every trial fate throws at him and rewrite the very laws that govern his world! Develop and train your character, leveling up such traits as determination, sensitivity, and endurance. All of the hero's skills, starting with those acquired in infancy, will affect his personality, worldview, and relationships, ultimately unlocking new talents and possible storylines.

Find your own path
The first complete walkthrough can take you upwards of 15 hours! Numerous branching paths that affect the unfolding story will make every playthrough a unique experience: become a noble judge, learn the ways of the inquisition, plot a revolution as a member of a secret society, or embrace an entirely different purpose. Be brave and fate itself shall bend to your will!

There and hereafter
Resurrection system allows the character to keep his experience upon death, letting the player reevaluate past steps and make adjustments to their strategy going forward. Take control not only of your life but also your demise, then put everything at stake in this cycle of death and rebirth!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante — Way More Interesting Than I Expected
Honestly, I did not think a game where you basically just read and occasionally click stuff could hook me this hard. Like, seriously, what kind of gameplay is that — flipping through a book? But somehow I ended up glued to it for several evenings straight, and I genuinely couldn't put it down. The story is just awesome. You live through a character's entire life, from childhood all the way to death, and every single choice you make actually changes something. And the decisions are often tough — there are no obvious "good" or "bad" options, just like in real life. Wanna be a noble knight? Get ready to suffer. Want power and riches? Well, prepare for the consequences on your conscience. Bottom line, the story keeps you on edge the whole time. I also gotta mention the visuals. The artwork is genuinely beautiful — dark and stylish, fitting the atmosphere perfectly. And there are animations too — not a ton, but just enough to bring things to life. Especially during big moments, when the image slightly comes alive, and you're just sitting there like, "Whoa, did that just happen?!" A few other little things: the music is really nice too, kind of fantasy-ish, plays in the background and never gets annoying. The world-building is well done — the gods, the estates, the whole Lot system, you can immediately tell this world has depth. Sometimes there's A LOT of text, sure, but honestly that's more of a plus than a minus. Anyway, if you're into games that tell a great story and actually let you shape it — this one's a no-brainer. I personally replayed it several times just to see what would've happened if I'd chosen differently. And it really paid off — the endings vary wildly. Highly recommend. Never thought I'd be sitting there clicking through text like I'm hypnotized, but here we are.
It is a good game, if you play it as it is supposed to be, as a text based RPG. The problem is that it is advertising itself as something completely different, a "choice matters game", which it is not. I tried to play it as Decision based game for my first playthru, and i got forcefully shoehorned into path i never wanted to take, ruining the experience for me, after playing it for 14 hours and not even reaching the final chapter. But from the second playthru, when i treated the game for what it is, a stat management simulator, that takes meaby 30 minutes to finish, it opened up and showed what it actually is about. There are many endings and many ways to get to them, but you have to know that. If you want to be nobleman, you have to take stats for a nobleman, if you want to be priest, you have to take stats to be a priest, just like in RPG. If you like a LOT of reading and developed story, while ignoring the RPG mechanics, you will enjoy this game. If you like RPG class mechanics management and you dont mind ignoring all text in the game, you will enjoy this game.
