Apparently the coders "forgot" to create a code allowing to rebind keyboard keys and they are calling it an hardcoded bug, which means they will never fix it. You have to use a controller or use third party softwares to remap your keys. The game also struggle to adapt to your chosen resolution and resets to 800x600 with pixelated everything, when it doesn't kicks you out to windows' desktop back and forth. We have to hold coders accountable and not accept mediocre work, we need to preserve standarts in videogames or we will be fed increasingly poorly made games.
The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame или спасибо ого ого ого ого ого I`м Ultrakatty
This is one of those times where I wish that Steam had a slider over a positive or negative option because my opinion of this game is so slightly negative. My personal project over the last year(ish) has been to complete all achievements/100% all of the mainline Lego games so I can say that I am up to date with the franchise as a whole. While this certainly isn't my least favorite Lego game (that honor goes to the first Lego Movie Videogame) I would argue it is the most soulless. It is incredibly dull and not served by the fact that the second Lego movie is not nearly as good as the first, so the material is inherently weak. On the positive side of things, I will say that the mechanics/item collection are fun, but the missions are various forms of "beat this guy up, lead this guy here, etc..." None of this is BAD per se, it's just so incredibly boring when compared with the rest of the Lego franchise. It feels like TT barely tried on this one, and that makes me very sad. I would almost argue that ALL of the "Lego Movie Franchise" games suffer from the fate of laziness, thinking that they can glide on the success of the movies without having to put any sort of effort in. That being said, the best benefit of this one is that the collectibles are less infuriating to gather than in the original Lego Movie Videogame, albeit more boring and tedious to 100%. Disappointing one to say the least. Unless you are a completionist like I am, and undertaking the 100% achievement run of the Lego franchise, I cannot sincerely recommend this game to anyone. Definitely pick it up on sale if you're doing that too, literally no point in paying full price for this.
the only guy who likes lego worlds here to say this game is pretty good
Straszna nuda...
Bought this hoping for fun after the first game, but it's super repetitive and boring. Levels all feel the same, tons of bugs with building and characters, weak story/jokes compared to the movie, empty open world, and way less enjoyable overall. Not worth it, save your money.
The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame is basically what happens when a giant box of LEGO bricks explodes into a video game. The story is silly, the jokes are goofy, and half the time I had no idea what I was building — but somehow it still worked. Smashing everything into tiny plastic pieces is weirdly satisfying, and collecting bricks made me feel like a tiny billionaire. That said, the first game was definitely better. This one kind of feels like someone mixed LEGO Worlds with the first LEGO Movie game… but forgot to use the good parts of LEGO Worlds. Exploring is fun at first, but it can get repetitive pretty quickly, and some missions feel more like chores made out of plastic bricks. Still, if you like LEGO chaos, bad puns, and turning random junk into spaceships, it’s a pretty fun time. Overall: 7/10 — not as awesome as the first game, but still entertaining enough to keep your inner LEGO goblin happy.
A decent adaptation of the Lego Movie 2 movie and a decent sequel to the first Lego Movie videogame. A lot of fun mechanics with a wide selection of characters, weapons, and abilities
