It's an undeniably vibrant and charming 3D platformer with a neat concept centered around restoring hues to a segregated world. However, the entirely automated platforming and overly simplistic combat make it feel more like an interactive cartoon than an engaging game. Great for younger players, but a bit too shallow for seasoned platformer fans.

I was having an interesting, somewhat fun time of it, until I got to the green district and had to get past a giant security drone and it kept spotting me and killing me with an undodgeable, one-hit range attack--then continued to spawn-kill me after that! I tried hurrying backwards to the previous area after spawning but it's attack hit me through the walls! Sure, it felt like a glitch but it also felt like 2014 game design. I don't know. It also has the out-of-date design of save-points-that-aren't-checkpoints: if you quit at a save point you might reload at the start of the level, needing to re-do cut scenes which can't be skipped. The combat was blah. The platforming without a jump button actually felt smooth and the developers were coming up with interesting variations for it. Ah well, on to the next game.
