THE LAST HUMAN IS A BIKER is a 2D Rogue like Shooter with some mixed in Bullet Hell elements, which combines into an enjoyable experience. The Game is still in early access and will surely get more features in the future, but it is already a lot of fun to play. Story Story is a big word here, lets call it a background. But let’s be honest, these kinds of games need no story, but I’m happy that it’s there. It’s 2066 and you slip into the boots of John, Ex-Cop and Biker and the last human alive in the USA after an alien invasion who made it his goal, to take as many with them as he possible can. Gameplay The game currently has 2 modes, an Arcade Mode with an end, and the classic endless mode, that challenges you to survive as long as possible. Before each game, you choose your starting weapon and bike. Each bike has its own special ability which helps a lot with slaying those Alien Bastards! While you are on the road, defending earth as its sole survivor you gain experience and level up. Each level you can choose from 1 out of 3 weapon modules which can then be even further upgraded! To unlock new weapons and bikes you must run over the smaller aliens to collect their blood, which can then be trades in for your new tool’s up destruction. Features (so far) -> 5 Starting Weapons -> 3 different bikes with unique abilities -> 1 road which changes it theme and look the further you get -> 2 game modes -> 360° Gunplay -> Upgrade Systems -> and a hella good soundtrack Graphic/Audio I would describe the look of the game as a mix of 8bit and 16bit graphic. I’m personally a huge fan of this art style, but you have to like it ofc. The Soundtrack was made by French band and is a mix of rock and synthwave. It underlines the action on the screen extremely well and pushes you forward. Final Thoughts THE LAST HUMAN IS A BIKER may still be in early access, but so far I’am having a really good time with it. The game has enough features and unlock to keep you entertained for a couple of hours. For just 2€ you will get a lot of bang for your buck. I can really recommend the game so far and hope more people will give it a go. Looking forward for future updates. If you excuse me now, I need to go back to slap some more Alien butts for a new high score!
This game is a ton of fun! Super challenging, but not to the point where you want to give up. Rather you want to keep grinding to get all the new weapons and bikes. One thing I would like to see added is a way to regain health during levels. Thank you FF_Valentin for the free key!

For others, I’d say the game will keep you hooked for up to four hours (subjective)

😇 Overall 8 I see the potential, and what I experienced was at no time annoying or frustrating. Content may be low, but this will change as it progresses through development. Add this one to your wishlist today

📝 Main Pros, Cons, and Suggestions:
🟩 Pros: + Endless mode + The art style, music, and personality of your biker all gel well + Weapons and upgrades play vastly different from each other, so enough to keep you engaged for a few hours + The intensity of gameplay, and how fast difficulty ramps up is brilliant (subjective, some may think the opposite) 🟥 Cons: - Content on offer is low - Presently, no health regeneration - No meta progression, however, there is a ‘Lab’ menu which is currently a work in progress (presumably, this is the meta progression) - Selected English language, however, there are a handful of areas where the game doesn’t translate (e.g. describing what arcade mode and endless mode are) 🏷️ Suggestions: ~ Add some charm to the backgrounds. I see neon signs, but no neon colours. I see silhouettes in buildings, but they’re idle. ~ More of everything. Guns, bikes, maps, possibly even bikers
A man, his bike, and his gun
The Last Human is a Biker is a simple game, featuring a man, his bikes, guns, and a whole lot of alien whoopass! If you’re looking for a survivor-like game with a twist, look no further. While I personally didn’t find it as enjoyable as others, that was primarily due to the content present rather than the mechanics. The graphics, the music, your character - Everything has personality. It’s charming in a way that I didn’t expect. When you’re defeated, you hear “game over” in a Duke Nukem like voice, which screams 90s to me, fitting the theme of the game well. Conceptually, moving on a fixed plane with monsters constantly flowing toward you was a brilliant design choice. Compared to other survivor-likes, I was much more engaged here. Having to always watch both ground and sky for incoming enemies added an additional layer of difficulty (outside of larger HP pools or more projectiles), which I appreciated.
Not enough to keep me going
Presently, there are three bikes and four weapons, each with their own varied stats to suit different gameplay styles. Additionally, the bikes each have their own unique ability. While I did find it enjoyable, after 30 minutes, I felt like I had seen everything the game had to offer. While I wont go into details (as discovery is what makes survivor-likes fun), one weapon filled my entire screen with explosions, nullifying any dangers the game threw my way (up until the boss). After discovering this combo, I don’t see much point in playing further as nothing else felt as powerful, or fun. Due to the limited options available to mix things up, my time was cut short.
Is this a bad thing?
No, we’re still in early access after all! For the price, I have no basis to complain. The foundation for a brilliant game is there, and during my time playing The Last Human is a Biker, I was engaged throughout. If you’re a fan of survivor-likes, add this to your wishlist.
Written By Hidden Gems Review : https://store.steampowered.com/curator/38624426/, Follow me!
THE LAST HUMAN IS A BIKER is a Roguelite Shoot 'Em Up game. The original idea of a biker in a roguelite game it's neat and the gameplay and pixel art aswell. For the price at it is worth it, but not all it's good, sinces upgrading all takes only about 2 hours and there is big gaps of power level on the progresion as a roguelite.
A game that mixes genres to great effect, with a levelling system similar to Vampire Survivors and the fast paced twin stick-style shooter mechanics of classic games such as Binding of Isaac and Hotline Miami.. all while traversing on a bike. The music and aesthetics are great as well, the game can be punishing for old school players like me with slow reflexes but it's rewarding to learn and get stronger over time. Well worth the small asking price!
A very simple game with great aesthetics, vampire survivors-like levels of on-screen clutter and cool unlockable stuff, the loadout select song slaps too
I want to start of the review thanking Valentin (From FLOWERFIELD Games) for gifting a beta key for me to play&review this! THE LAST HUMAN IS A BIKER, is a 2D shoot 'em up about... well, I think that's quite obvious! I, at first, didn't expect so much but this quite exceeded my expectations. I love the artstyle and OSTs. While I think there should be more enemy types, guns&bikes, this is still an early access so it's quite above average. Like the others pointed, the game has a gpu problem. All these aside, the game is slightly unbalanced. I mean the skills, you can set them up in a way that monsters can't even spawn at some point. That should be balanced, I think. Give it a shot!
Salut mes petits agneaux !
