An excellent version of a classic side scrolling shooter. With rogue elements to enhance gameplay and replay ability this is a must have for fans of the genre. I've been playing primarily on Steamdeck and can say the game runs well on both deck and my main rig. 8/10
Excellent communication from the developer. There were some issues in this review that were addressed immediately. He had trouble getting controller support to work but it's mostly implemented. The only issue is you have to map the right stick to mouse control but it works fine. (UPDATE, THIS IS NOW FIXED. it now plays like a twin stick shooter sorta!) needs some work but, there's really not many roguelike SHMUPS out there. Looking forward to future updates! Worth checking out and supporting the dev update: he got controller support working! awesome game!

Very fun, weirdly addicting, you'll soon develop a taste for particular upgrade paths, only to find another one works just as well. Developer is easy to contact in case of the odd bug, the graphics are simple but this allows for quick pattern recognition and lets you focus on the gameplay. And let's face it, we're playing a game! Looking forward to playing more!
I've played for several hours now. I must be doing something wrong. I still have not been able to afford even the cheapest upgrade. My runs end, and I'm not sure why. I have health left. Is there a timer somewhere? There isn't really much variability to the enemies I've seen so far (only 3 types). I can't help but think I'd rather be playing Nova Drift, Vampire Survivors, or any other one of whatever we as a community have decided to start referring to these games as. I'd like to enjoy it more, but the game seems to give out upgrade resources at a pace that is way to slow for me to be willing to engage with it.
