Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 22.71/day in the week to Sep 1 → 39.14/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
The world you knew is gone.
You awaken as the last active Caretaker, a machine built for one purpose: save humanity. Across a vast ocean covering the ruins of Earth, you must recover human seeds, restore the Lazarus Complex, and prepare the next generation for launch into orbit.
The Last Caretaker is a first-person survival-crafting game about systems, choices, and purpose. Every resource matters. Every structure has a reason to exist. Every success gives humanity one more chance.

Recover human seeds and return them to the Lazarus Complex. Manage their growth, restore memory data, and prepare them for life beyond Earth.
Scavenge abandoned facilities, dismantle wreckage, and recycle materials into tools, weapons, power networks, and essential modules. Restore the machinery needed to keep the mission alive.
Rogue machines, hostile systems and the world itself will push back. Repair and maintain, upgrade your equipment, and protect what remains.
Restore ancient launch infrastructure, chart the ocean, gather resources and memories, and send the humans you raised into orbit. The mission is not survival for its own sake. It is a continuation.
Explore silent Sanctuary docks, Refuel Outposts, Underwater cities, and long-forgotten Seed Vaults. The story is uncovered through places, logs, memories, and the remains of a civilization that tried to outlive its own world.

Great game, explore, plan and build. Play at your own speed no set mission path you have to follow.
The whole scrapping + building gameplay loop scratches some itch in my brain. It's very satisfying in my opinion. There's no denying that some systems need improvement before a full release, but there's clearly been improvements across the board since the EA launch. On top of that, they've been amazing at adding new content to the early access. I had a long break from EA launch, when I pretty much completed the content there was, to the current update and there's soooo much new content now.

At first I was sceptical about this game. I had never seen gameplay, reviews, or heard anything about this game existing. I watches some content and thought sure it looks fun, and interesting. It was also on sale so I bought it up. At first the game seemed confusing to me, the tutorials were ok, but a lot of the early exploration was completely up to whether I ran around randomly or not. Also some of the different shortcuts and even sometimes major game components where not explained early on. Now all that being said, it wasn't particurlarly bad. It was kinda fun to figure just about everything out on my own, but some items and ways the game works, I didn't realize until much later after I could've utilized those mechanics of the game. I eventually did learn how it all works, but some things would've been nice to know earlier on, possibly by a simple tutorial or different things. Now besides the criticism, the game is a blast, and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ beyond addicting. The snapping of buildable items, and structures on just about any surface, in just about anyway you want. Well it is incredible easy, satisfying, and has so much freedom and endlessness. I say oh I will just play for about an hour or so, and I find myself barely able to stop after hours of getting into it, its just so addicting to keep playing, if you like the style of the game and the lore/story of course. Talking about lore. the amount of text information, visual info, and even well voiced thought out vocal lore is very well done, and a hell of a lot more than I expected there to be. All in all a very fun chill, but still challenging game. Being in control of the ship, heli, different fuels, water, and power is very enjoyable and satisfying to handle. I sure hope more content get added soon. Now some reviews mentioned optimization, my PC is pretty good, (specs attached), and i only crashed twice when I was quickly swapping between menus and moving items, but even at high settings it runs very well, now with a lower end PC om high graphics it may not, but at a lower graphical level it should be fine most of the time. The game has auto saves but they are spaced out, so as a player you can save at different stations on the ship or on destinations as many times as you please.
Absolutely love this game! As a great fan of subnautica I've been playing anything remotely similar and this is probably the best and my favorite. The robot stuck in waterworld to save humanity story, very nice. Some aspects can still be improved and I say this because I've been playing the game for a long time, I've even bought a new PC because of this game. Not perfect but very very good. keep up the good work guys
extraordinary game if you like puzzle solving and survival scenarios. Not quite a complete game yet. I have issues with font size, can't easily read without taking a pic and zooming in. Graphics design is top notch, high quality.
Just shy of 250 hours played, got to say I Love the game so far. Still has a few bugs to work out (It is EA). The story is good, the game play is good. My only issue is the same buttons are used for too many things, trying to shoot or grind something and you may pick it up or grab one of you power cables instead. I didn't expect a survival game where you were a robot to work but it does. I can't wait to see what gets added next.
Heard about this game yesterday, tried it out. Best game of the genre I played in a while! It's designed for solo players, which I absolutely love. The ambience and gameplay are fantastic, the main character and art are pretty cute and fun to look at. I would love am upgrade to controls and UI, especially for crafting. Apart from that, fantastic game.
I want to recommend this game. There's soo much potential to be one of my favorites. But I can't recommend it. Not Yet. It's the small annoying things that are preventing it. It is in Early Access, so maybe this review message is more of a message for the devs. And I do plan to keep my eye on the change logs and come back when the annoying issues are fixed. The good: It's a beautiful world, and it's a very fun, engaging take on what a island hopping / waterworld game can be. It has a satisfying tech tree and the rate at which you advance is perfect. You can upgrade yourself, your gear, your boat, and (Spoiler alert) you can even build a jetski if you want (eventually). The devs are active and adding more and more content and fixing issues. The Annoying: When you're recharging your battery or transferring fuel, the "Press E to unattach" dialog box is on top of the charge/fill bar, so you don't know how much is in the container. The hitbox on melee attacks is terrible. I feel like I'm playing Morrowind. 1.2m away from target = too close = miss. 1.4m away from target = too far= miss. 1.3m away from target = just right = hit! There are too many leech things, and they are more frustrating and annoying than actually challenging or engaging. There are multiple menus, but each menu uses a different button to exit the screen; sometimes it's esc, sometimes it's tab. It should all be the same button. The developers seem to want to make this game be like a crash bandicoot platformer, but they also want the physics to be super realistic. So if you jump to a small platform and need to turn 90 degrees to jump to the next one, when you turn, your robot doesn't turn on the spot. It takes a step to turn... THEN IT FALLS OFF THE SMALL PLATFORM. This game can be very good without the parkour. It doesn't need it. The Jetski physics need attention. Again, it seems that realistic physics is being prioritized over fun gameplay. But the Jetski physics are neither realistic nor fun. Real Jetskis don't fly. When a real jetski is turned, its course is altered in the direction of the turn, and starts moving in the direction of the bow of the jetski. In the game, the jetski hits a wave and flies through the air. In the game, pressing the A or D keys only barely changes the course, unless you hold the turn key and after several seconds of barely changing course, the jetski rapidly spins out of control. The graphics are often choppy. I have pretty good computer, and i usually don't care at all about framerate, but when there's too much going on (like storms near a large island), then my framerate drops to where it gets choppy. Even I notice it, and that's when you know it's bad. I also would prefer more save slots and more frequent autosaves.
I like evereything about the game but the combat/enemy deisgn. The concept is intriguing, object permanence is nice, mechanics are engaging and it looks fine. But combat is abysmal...it all boils down to zpping a swarm of blobs that are trying to encircle you. After clearing a rig I don't feel like I defeated an enemy I feel like I just washed a gas station toilet. There's no fun and no challenge just labor. As of now the game would've been better with no combat at all but harsher survival. But seriously you need to replace those swarms with autonomous and dangerous enemies. Look up Abiotic Factor, they nailed the enemy lineup. All enemies can kill you, most of them have specific ways to kill. Some of them are completely imprevious to certain kinds of damage and they are all visually distinct so you're not wondering what is that.
