About
The world you knew is gone.
You awaken as the last active Caretaker, a machine built for one purpose: save humanity. Across a vast ocean covering the ruins of Earth, you must recover human seeds, restore the Lazarus Complex, and prepare the next generation for launch into orbit.
The Last Caretaker is a first-person survival-crafting game about systems, choices, and purpose. Every resource matters. Every structure has a reason to exist. Every success gives humanity one more chance.

Recover human seeds and return them to the Lazarus Complex. Manage their growth, restore memory data, and prepare them for life beyond Earth.
Scavenge abandoned facilities, dismantle wreckage, and recycle materials into tools, weapons, power networks, and essential modules. Restore the machinery needed to keep the mission alive.
Rogue machines, hostile systems and the world itself will push back. Repair and maintain, upgrade your equipment, and protect what remains.
Restore ancient launch infrastructure, chart the ocean, gather resources and memories, and send the humans you raised into orbit. The mission is not survival for its own sake. It is a continuation.
Explore silent Sanctuary docks, Refuel Outposts, Underwater cities, and long-forgotten Seed Vaults. The story is uncovered through places, logs, memories, and the remains of a civilization that tried to outlive its own world.

looks great plays amazing could use a little more optimisation and a little polishing but otherwise amazing experience
slow game you take at your own pace, exploration heavy and atmospheric as all heck sometimes. gotta find your own stories (though the game does give you a lot of audio and written logs to go through) just sad it doesn't have multiplayer really, considering all of the multiplayer-style things it has going for it, like player skin paints and multiple vehicles.
The first 90% of this game is truly a masterpiece. Sure there are definitely some bugs, including getting stuck, quests not updating properly etc. But, it is a game that makes time pass incredibly quickly. The core of the game is an incredible idea and the gameplay is truly fun. After that first 90% though it does seem that the game is "loosing" its direction a bit. The late game quests are a bit off at times. The whale quest is cute, I suppose, but in the end is too awkward and rather pointless - black vein is 100% better. Bio-material has been nerfed into oblivion. The system for creating specialized humans is awkward as well. I would like to see more ways to edit the environment. More ways to enhance your ship, maybe even enlarge it somehow, more customization. Again though, those few complaints aside, it is one of the best games to appear on the market in the last few years.
This is one of those games that will just absorb you in.. think minecraft but with a mobile base that comes with you!
