About
Lured in by shared nightmares, madmen travel to a remote island crowned by a silent Tower. No one remembers the journey.
The Lantern of the Laughless Saint is an open world RPG built around exploration and connection. You learn the land by walking it, following rumors, reading scraps of burned history, and meeting lost souls who wandered to the ends of the Earth, following the same feverish dream of a light buried beneath the Tower.
Somewhere in the depths is a theater with an empty stage, waiting for an audience. As you repair or ruin the lives of the island's inhabitants, the phantoms they leave behind take their seats in the audience. The more seats you fill, the more the island listens, and the greater the applause for your final act.
And if you don’t want to descend alone, you don’t have to. The entire game is fully playable in co-op: explore the island together, delve into the depths for treasures, and make the choices that will decide the fate of everyone on the island, and beyond...
A wild, ancient island to explore
Follow leads, find shortcuts into the Tower, stumble into side stories, and piece together what is real and what is mere delusion.
Open Ended
Most quests have multiple resolutions. Mercy, violence, compromise, deceit.
A large cast of bizarre characters
Many strange folk find their home on the island. A giant toad learning to read. An ancient skeleton who just wants to swim. A musician from a faraway land hunts for something precious. Everyone has a theory for why you’re here. None of them agree.
The Amphitheater
Your choices change the world. Treat others with kindness and generosity, and a trusted friend will take their seat in your audience. Fail or abuse them, and something darker takes their place. The House fills either way.
Visceral Combat with multiple weapon types
Punchy combat against strange horrors
Full co-op
Play the whole game together. Explore the world, share the spoils, and decide who you will become, because the consequences belong to all of you.
The Tower does not call the whole. It calls the broken, the wanting.
Fill the seats. Start the performance. Find out what is buried at the bottom of the well.

Still scratching the surface, but outside of the jank I'm enjoying this game quite a lot. Definitely going to be recommending it to others, especially fans of Morrowind.
The game is great, gives me old elder scroll feeling and the characters in the game always make me laugh. I would like to see the change to be able to shoot arrows into water, was fighting a starfish and it was stuck under a ledge in the water to deep to hit with my sword, and the arrows kept getting stuck on the surface of the water, I'd also like to be able to jump out of the water onto a surface i don't if i have to level something to do that.

10,000 Hours Played (In my dreams) Pros:You can kill every NPC.You can break the game with ridiculous magic. It has lizard men. It's a real, downloadable video game.Cons:Todd Howard is crying somewhere because an indie studio out-scrollsed his scrolls. While Bethesda has spent the last near-decade perfecting the physics of cheese wheels in space, The Lantern of the Laughless Saint actually delivered an open-world RPG where your actions matter. Sure, I've crashed to desktop once or twice, but that just makes it feel like an authentic Bethesda launch anyway! Except this time, I didn't have to wait 15 years for it.Buy it. Play it with a friend. Laugh at the fact that a giant reading toad has more dialogue depth than anything we'll get in the next decade from AAA studios. :3
Maybe once they fix the bugs. Can't even run anymore.
Lantern of the laughless saint the game crashed on me several times and required a reinstall to play after it crashed the first time i had to reinstall it just for it to work although its possible it was due to out of date drivers i am sorry i might come back to this game at some point maybe i will have a better experience in the future i wish the game the best i wish there was some sort of neutral option cause i dont hate this game i updated my drivers and now the game crashes within five seconds
Pretty fun so far the only problem im having right now is the occasional lag spike and npcs not being able to do their regular things cause once they sleep they get stuck on the bed and can't leave their houses

I love Morrowind, so when I heard about this game I knew I had to check it out. Seems like the people who made it loved that game as well. I've been enjoying it so far. It harkens back to a better time in gaming. If this is the future that indie devs can bring us, maybe there's some hope after all.
Very positive first impressions. Morrowind is my favorite TES game, and this captures the vibe of that game perfectly. The initial weirdness that you get just walking around the world makes it worth the price of admission imo. Super excited for Holy Fool.
