About
Lured in by shared nightmares, madmen travel to a remote island crowned by a silent Tower. No one remembers the journey.
The Lantern of the Laughless Saint is an open world RPG built around exploration and connection. You learn the land by walking it, following rumors, reading scraps of burned history, and meeting lost souls who wandered to the ends of the Earth, following the same feverish dream of a light buried beneath the Tower.
Somewhere in the depths is a theater with an empty stage, waiting for an audience. As you repair or ruin the lives of the island's inhabitants, the phantoms they leave behind take their seats in the audience. The more seats you fill, the more the island listens, and the greater the applause for your final act.
And if you don’t want to descend alone, you don’t have to. The entire game is fully playable in co-op: explore the island together, delve into the depths for treasures, and make the choices that will decide the fate of everyone on the island, and beyond...
A wild, ancient island to explore
Follow leads, find shortcuts into the Tower, stumble into side stories, and piece together what is real and what is mere delusion.
Open Ended
Most quests have multiple resolutions. Mercy, violence, compromise, deceit.
A large cast of bizarre characters
Many strange folk find their home on the island. A giant toad learning to read. An ancient skeleton who just wants to swim. A musician from a faraway land hunts for something precious. Everyone has a theory for why you’re here. None of them agree.
The Amphitheater
Your choices change the world. Treat others with kindness and generosity, and a trusted friend will take their seat in your audience. Fail or abuse them, and something darker takes their place. The House fills either way.
Visceral Combat with multiple weapon types
Punchy combat against strange horrors
Full co-op
Play the whole game together. Explore the world, share the spoils, and decide who you will become, because the consequences belong to all of you.
The Tower does not call the whole. It calls the broken, the wanting.
Fill the seats. Start the performance. Find out what is buried at the bottom of the well.

Awesome game. Good progression system. Continues to get more interesting. I just wish I could have more than 5 spells accessible at a time. 1-9 hot keys would be an improvement.
Amazing synthesis of morrowind and skyrim. Has co op, let's me see my legs. Perfect.
Good 😝 Weird and whacky, cool story and that strange Morrowind twang.
I dont think im anywhere close to finished with this game yet but holy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ this is one of the best games ive played in the last few years. its still pretty rough in some places, but it really does emulate the feel/vibe of an Elder Scrolls game. It's literally Morrowind if it was good lmao
I'm almost 10 hours in by now, and I never write reviews for anything hardly. BUT THIS, THIS IS IT. Does it have bugs? Yes. (not many I've encountered thus far though) Is it still in early access and has things that need polish? Also yes. But if you'll hear me out for a second, this has the potential to be an absolute gem. For 20 bucks you're getting a standalone Morrowind/Skyrim complete with old school rpg elements, its own vast story and rich lore (yes theres plenty of books to read here fellow lore nerds!) I am just flabbergasted the devs were able to come up with something this close in homage to a much more simpler and enjoying time in video games. I highly recommend you at LEAST give this a try. Its not some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cash grab like most slop you see on the steam store these days. This has heart. It has soul, and it makes me feel the way I did when I played those older games as a kid. TLDR: Just buy it, no really, just click the button and launch it, youll thank me later
This game is amazing and i have had a great time with it so for, the worldbuilding is very well done and the gameplay is good and surprisingly fluid and mobile once you get your movement skills up. you have a lot of freedom and the world is very well designed. I was convinced i needed to continue the main quest to get higher into the tower but when exploring trying to get to an area i saw on the map i randomly stumbled into the top parts and found just loads of interesting and deranged encounters. i would go over some of them here but i dont want to ruin the surprise for you. This game has captured a feeling i havent had while gaming in 10 years, personally this is my game of the year 2026. its obviously insired by morrowwind but its not some cheap immitation, its has its own strong identity. skills leveling by use is also always a fun system that makes even moving from one place to the next feel like progression by jumping and spamming heal spells. There is also enough content here that you dont have to be scared of the early acces label. cant wait to see further updates and see where the devs take this game, and hopefully this dope setting in the future. I played a race thats grown magically strong by being close to their god, found a shrine to that god, and than later (by looking up) found out my god was the freaky majoras mask ass looking moon, great stuff 10/10
Good solid start to the game. 4 hours in and I’m enjoying it so far. If you like elder scroll games and want more of it, can’t go wrong with this game.
