About
Lured in by shared nightmares, madmen travel to a remote island crowned by a silent Tower. No one remembers the journey.
The Lantern of the Laughless Saint is an open world RPG built around exploration and connection. You learn the land by walking it, following rumors, reading scraps of burned history, and meeting lost souls who wandered to the ends of the Earth, following the same feverish dream of a light buried beneath the Tower.
Somewhere in the depths is a theater with an empty stage, waiting for an audience. As you repair or ruin the lives of the island's inhabitants, the phantoms they leave behind take their seats in the audience. The more seats you fill, the more the island listens, and the greater the applause for your final act.
And if you don’t want to descend alone, you don’t have to. The entire game is fully playable in co-op: explore the island together, delve into the depths for treasures, and make the choices that will decide the fate of everyone on the island, and beyond...
A wild, ancient island to explore
Follow leads, find shortcuts into the Tower, stumble into side stories, and piece together what is real and what is mere delusion.
Open Ended
Most quests have multiple resolutions. Mercy, violence, compromise, deceit.
A large cast of bizarre characters
Many strange folk find their home on the island. A giant toad learning to read. An ancient skeleton who just wants to swim. A musician from a faraway land hunts for something precious. Everyone has a theory for why you’re here. None of them agree.
The Amphitheater
Your choices change the world. Treat others with kindness and generosity, and a trusted friend will take their seat in your audience. Fail or abuse them, and something darker takes their place. The House fills either way.
Visceral Combat with multiple weapon types
Punchy combat against strange horrors
Full co-op
Play the whole game together. Explore the world, share the spoils, and decide who you will become, because the consequences belong to all of you.
The Tower does not call the whole. It calls the broken, the wanting.
Fill the seats. Start the performance. Find out what is buried at the bottom of the well.

The "Saint" told me to blow my ♥♥♥♥ smooth off 10/10 would buy it again
Only played about two hours of this thus far, all I can say is its a blast. The vibes are immaculate, the music is tremendous, and the gameplay loop of leveling every skill is really addicting. The multiplayer was simple and easy to set up. I am looking forward to seeing what this game fully offers up ~

This game was something I have been wanting for a long time: A fun open-ended RPG game that allows you to play however you like without boxing you in to a specific build/meta. And what's even more is that it has coop so you can also enjoy the fun with your friends, though with a few caveats: While it is fun to play with your friends, it is still buggy is some areas. The quests sync perfectly fine, but sometimes enemies will desync and you won't see the same thing your friend sees; when you die and choose to respawn, the game will throw you somewhere near your friend, but it does not discriminate and can choose weird areas to spawn you; at one point I respawned inside the tower and was cut off from my friend, though you can teleport to the main town area so you're not entirely stuck. The movement can feel a little janky at times, but I've yet to have it hinder my ability to combat the enemy. I do encounter a bug pretty often where you'll have to unequip and reequip your weapon so it will show in your character's hands. So far though, those have been the only issues I've encountered. But those are minor inconveniences compared to what everything else the game has to offer. I highly recommend this game, especially if you love Elder Scrolls type of open-endedness where you're free to go wherever you want to go.
Games fun and only going up from here, and the devs have been exceedingly fast at fixing things and addressing concerns. Coop is also a riot a bit jank as one would expect from a game like this but a riot as you cheese things low level with the boys.
Игра обновляется так часто что тупо не успеваешь написать актуальный обзор, это ли не показатель того что разраб чертовски хорош? ♥♥♥♥ YOU TODD HOWARD
runs great, UI and some mechanics could use work, but expected for early access.
Really enjoying it so far! Scratches that Morrowind itch
awesome sauce. Multiplayer works great now
Very satisfying progressing gear. Combats decent enough, game is beautiful. I'm persuaded.
