About
Welcome to The JoyCare – an urban exploration horror game set in the ruins of an abandoned daycare center. What was once a place of laughter and innocence is now nothing but echoes and shadows.
You play as a curious soul drawn to uncover the truth behind the daycare's closure… but you're not alone. Something else roams the halls — Jacky Joke, a forgotten mascot turned monster, still guards his playground. But he’s not your only concern. The Misery Master, blinded and twisted by betrayal, lurks in the darkness, hunting through sound.
Explore, survive, and uncover a disturbing story buried beneath toys, murals, and blood-stained secrets. Will you escape the grasp of your worst childhood nightmare?

Time for some constructive criticism. I never intend to be mean, harsh or abusive towards any video game developer but this keeps getting worse and worse. I've played Roblox experiences better than this. You get put into an environment that is just walls, a couple cabinets you can't even open, a desk you can't search and blood EVERYWHERE. The puzzle solving can't really be called puzzle solving. You look for a code which is on a piece of paper somewhere, you use the code on a door and then it's all about buttons and switches which are placed in corners or the middle of small rooms. The level design is boring. There's a janky grapple hook which you have to press P on your keyboard to bring it out....you have to put it away before you can pull levers as well. The letter E should be used for anything interactable with one exception being left click if you don't have weapons or gadgets in your game. I've played various horror games with left click for turning on lights and that was completely fine. In this game, Q and E are used for leaning even though it provides nothing to the gameplay. You can lean around a corner if you want but it doesn't help hiding from monsters and it takes away that usage of E for opening doors. I would of keybinded E to interact myself but I expected the leaning to become useful in some way or what's the point having it in your game? There's nothing more perfect than a game you enjoy without even having to change keybinds. The game is not very long either so I feel like there could of been so much more effort into what you currently have instead of just pushing it out there as what I would say is definitely unfinished. I really like the bigger games (FNAF, Poppy Playtime, Bendy} It's a massive shame to see newer games of that same style be so poorly executed. I played Indigo Park about a month ago and that surprised the hell out of me. Personally, I really enjoyed it and I can't wait for chapter 2 if they are still planning to release it. I genuinely love the style that mascot horror can bring to the video game scene, but we have to do it right. I'm always down to test games like this and place my opinion on them so that we can all grow together.

It's not scary, the puzzle is too easy, and the monsters in the middle are clumsy and overall disappointing https://youtu.be/OO0jUQw1CBY (Full Game)
Not bad at all for being free and made in under 6 months. Graphics and sound do a good job of putting you in that environment. This is like an Alpha version of Five Nights at Freddy's. The biggest issue I had in the game was figuring out how to use a key. I like the title screen and the music near the end, although starts way early, adds a sense of dread. You can beat the game in about 30 mins. I'm not going to complain about a free game. They were probably lucky to even get the game up to begin with. Congrats to the Dev for pushing through the funding. 00:45 The Joycare - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LL4vEmcBZs8
Jacky Joke is my Spirit Animal

lame.
This is horror free2play exploration game. It runs on Unreal Engine. Poorly optimized, including graphical glitches. Monster models are really awkward and don't feel interesting. It gets boring very quickly. Game is very short and looks like it's unfinished. Seems to be just first-time project. It's free, so you can try it yourself, but in my opinion, it's just waste of time in current state.
Listen, I understand this is probably a young indie developer's first game. Here is how I rate it 2/10 If you are trying to find a new game to play this is NOT the one. It is very unclear on what I am supposed to do. When the game gave me the gun tool It didn't even specify how to use it so I had to go into settings and look at controls. (It is P or 1) Half the time I had to go to "Youtube" to look up a walkthrough. I am a indie developer myself I use Unreal Engine and I am telling you right now this game is SLOP. It's extremely easy to make. Most of this game is dragging and dropping models from the unreal marketplace into his/hers game. Games should be fun and entertaining not whatever this is. If I were to say one thing to this young developer I would say "Make It more clear on what to do" also the majority of the game is Movement so please work on this. This is instructive criticism I myself love it. So If you are gonna make another game please follow what I have said. Cheers!
