The Istrys

I remember playing this back when I was really into mobile games. It was fun, addictive, and made me feel smart when I could finish a puzzle quickly. So I expected much the same experience on the pc version, besides the obvious control changes. Unfortunately that wasnt the case. After paying 1.99+tax. I opened it up, and what was I greeted with at the very start? Advertisement, an ad displayed on the bottom half of the screen. Which was not some random misshap. No it was left there on purpose. Probably out of sheer laziness to remove it, and un willingness to. So I carried on, and went to the mode select screen. Everything so far in the menus have been for a low resolution screen. Nothing has been updated to work on modern screen resolutions. So that made it harder to navigate around, and find what I wanted. When I played the Puzzle Mode. It had said to swipe to rotate, and to tap to select a cube. So that wasn't changed either. I couldnt zoom out using the mouse scroll wheel to make it easier to see the whole cube from a distance. I felt claustrophobic the whole time I was playing. It was up in my face, and I did not feel it gave me enough distance to play comfortably. Touch controls are key to scoring high on this game. It is much faster, and feels good. I have to admit. This game was pretty good on mobile, but on PC I just can't recommend this. It feels cheap to me, like it was thrown on steam without much thought put into it. If you absolutely have to have this game then try it on mobile.

Небольшая бесплатная игрушка, без претензий, на изъезженную ещё лет пятнадцать назад тему: убираем парные блоки, пока они не кончатся. Часто такие игры на Западе называют Mahjongg, потому что они используют костяшки маджонга. А те, кто знают, что такое маджонг на самом деле, подстраховываются, называя их Mahjongg Solitaire. В общем, вот это вот самое. Только это куб (составленный из кучи мелких кубиков), что несколько доставляет сложностей. Имеется с полдюжины режимов для любителей разного. Здесь у нас классическое убирание под именем "головоломка", здесь куб вращается сам, а ты только выбираешь пары, а здесь вообще он постоянно растёт, и смысл - не разобрать, а убрать побольше. Режимы для двух игроков тоже есть, но я в них не особо вникал. В комплект входит также десяток скинов, для тех, кому неинтересны стандартные картинки. И комплект пополняется, хоть и не очень быстро. В целом - симпатичный пасьянс на пять-десять минут, кому охота покликать мышкой и неохота думать. Рекомендую.

Баро: Жуткое дело материнская любовь — сама умерла, а ребёнка из рук не выпускает. Ну, наше дело сторона, скоро он с ней увидится на небе. Короткая у него получилась лента дней, даже не лента, а так, пустяковый обрывок. Хотя всё лучше, чем остаться одному.

Good brain exercise

On beş yıl önce çok kullanılan bir temaya sahip, iddiasız, küçük, ücretsiz bir oyuncak: eşleştirilmiş blokları bitene kadar kaldırıyoruz. Batı'da bu tür oyunlara genellikle Mahjongg adı verilir çünkü mahjong taşları kullanılır. Ve mahjong'un gerçekte ne olduğunu bilenler, ona Mahjongg Solitaire adını vererek riskten uzak dursunlar.

good & simple puzzle game, can be better if there's a mobile port....

"The Istrys" is a garbage mobile app that was dumped on Steam as a cash grab... an incomplete collection of garbage mobile app minigames. But the most important thing to note here is that this contains in-game ads, which is something Valve have now banned... so I guess this game will be gone from Steam soon. Good riddance. Steam should not be treated as a dumping ground for garbage unwanted mobile apps and adware.

The Istrys is a block dismantling game with quite a lot of different themes and skins. I found most of them boring and their textures crappy, but the main core game is actually rather great. Some achievements require 2 players, which is something I dislike in general. But yeah, I can recommend the game itself.
