I can't for the life of me understand how this is steamdeck verified, it freezes every couple minutes near the end.
Surprising amount of replay value, a lot like I Saw Black Clouds, just like how the first run-through of that was total ass and I hated it only for me to love the rest of the game. Call this a spiritual sequel, I guess?
A fun FMV with an interesting story. The acting is well done.
I just finished The Isle Tide Hotel after getting every single achievement, and I’m really glad I picked it up.This is one of the more ambitious and stylish FMV games I’ve played in recent years. The production quality stands out with its unique cinematography, great lighting, and a memorable hotel setting that feels like a mix of Wes Anderson and a mysterious cult retreat. The cast includes some familiar faces who deliver charismatic performances that really sell the eccentric characters. What I liked most is how branching and replayable it is. With 11+ endings and multiple major paths, the game encourages you to try different approaches and side with different people. The choices feel meaningful, and the story layers keep revealing new things on subsequent playthroughs. The writing can be sharp and witty at times, and the central mystery is intriguing. That said, some players may find the story confusing at first, as it can feel like random scenes assembled together. However, the more choices you make and the more you replay the game, the clearer it becomes. If you pay close attention to the details and dialogue, everything gradually comes together in a satisfying way. The acting may seem uneven in places at first, but there’s actually an interesting reason behind it that ties directly into the story’s themes. If you enjoy weird, experimental vibes and are willing to replay it to piece everything together, the game has a unique charm that grows on you. The achievements were satisfying to hunt and gave me a real sense of completion. Value note: I bought this as part of the 14-game MEGA FMV Bundle, and at that price it was absolutely worth it. The Isle Tide Hotel alone made the bundle a good deal for me. Verdict: If you enjoy story-heavy interactive movies with strong replay value, multiple endings, and a weird, stylish atmosphere, this one is worth playing — especially on sale or in a bundle. It’s not for everyone, but I’m glad I experienced it.
Boring game and it has no meaning
Excruciatingly slow and boring. In the time I did play, nothing made me feel invested in the story, at all.
What the heck did I just play? Good end credits song, so I’ll recommend, I guess. Idk.
