The Invincible is based on the novel by Stanisław Lem, but does not simply translate the story to a game. Rather, it acts as a companion piece that gives the player an opportunity to experience the atmosphere of early sci-fi. While most of the landscape is rocky desert, the game offers a variety of formations, alien structures, and human technology. The sci-fi equipment matches an older era, with bulky metal shapes and screens, levers and wheels - this feels much more distinct than other sci-fi games available. The game itself offers several choices throughout the story which ultimately alter the available ending, without relying on stats or signposted decisions. Essentially, it keeps a lot of the more game-y elements out of the way, letting the narrative and visuals take centre stage.
It's hard to talk about this game, because on one hand I had some of the coolest experiences playing this game. The story is so interesting and it's what kept me walking through, the environment are stunning which is what kept me from looking anywhere else, and the characters are Intriguing which kept me from checking out, lastly the voice actors were amazing, you could feel the emotions behind someone you never see in game except for in flashbacks. But for all the positives this game has as a video game it lacks so much, I felt like I was on the verge of boredom for most gameplay sections just walking from point A to point B. I never felt any real threat to Yasna, and it felt like the game was a puzzle where you always had a right choice except at a few key moments at the very end. I liked exploring, seeing interesting little pieces of the story. But it felt like I was rarely rewarded for my curiosity, when all I got was some slides or a long walk back to the trail. It's a wonderful game but it has it's flaws. and this story needed to be told in this format. I just wish there was more meat on the bones.

Overall, pretty good. Has some performance issues (stuttering), but at least it looks and sounds good (and the stuttering didn't happen all the time). Gameplay is okay, enjoyed my time with the game. Issues; I once was walking and got stuck in the map - that required me to load the save again, thankfully the game had just saved moments before that, so it wasn't a huge time loss. That and the stuttering were the only technical issues I had throughout my gameplay. The game didn't crash. Great value, if you buy it from a sale. Full price isn't reasonable for what you get, in my opinion.
Good sci-fi walking simulator. Starts out a bit boring, but picks up. Crashed a few times. One recurring big crash when entering a new area. Needed a community supplied engine.ini to play beyond that point. So you need to find those settings and tinker to finish the game. Bought it heavily discounted.
It's a walking simulator, but a fine story. Theres almost no gameplay, danger, bosses, or anything. But if you like a good story i recommend :)
The Invincible remember me a little bit about "Fort Solis". It is an adventure: the player will explore a lonely planet and the story is compelling and mysterious. I love the graphics, and the sound, the game-play is simple and immersive. For its price is a must have and I recommend this game wholeheartedly.
