About
On Sunday the 7th of March, 1936, a group of locals made their way up the long, muddy track to Galley House. As far as any of them knew, the house had stood empty for decades.
Inside, they discovered the bloody aftermath of something horrific.
The authorities were summoned, and the crime scene was eventually cleared away. But nobody ever figured out what happened that dreadful night. It seemed likely that no one ever would.
Now, many years later, you have access to a peculiar machine — one that lets you listen in on echoes of the past. Can you piece together the events behind The Incident at Galley House?

oOoOoOo The real incident was in our hearts
An incredibly fun game with super fun twists. The art style reminds me of Clue. I'm sad that it's over.
An excellent mystery game. Wonderful sound work, great voice acting, well-done soundtrack. The mechanics are fun and tactile. I appreciate the ability to "adjust" the difficulty level by not penalizing hints. It keeps the game at the right level of challenging while avoiding frustration and rage quitting. The story itself is really interesting, and I had a great time chasing down new scenes in the timeline and piecing it all together. Add in some unexpected and very satisfying twists and you've got a very compelling mystery game!

Fun, creepy, quite short, logical and satisfying. Great voice acting, clever narrative. Almost flawless: left one or two small plot holes, nothing major, perhaps will be resolved in an update. Delivered a healthy dose of the heeby jeebies.
One of the best written narratives for a game I've ever played. I couldn't put it down. Reminiscent of Return of the Obra Dinn, although I would say it's not as difficult. The story was gripping though, and the voice acting was extremely well done.

I first played this game when it was a free text-based game on Itch.io and was ELATED to discover this full version of it. If you've played "Type Help" I definitely recommend playing this as well as the controls, voice acting, and ending add a lot to the experience. If you aren't familiar: you are listening to conversations from the past to try and figure out why a bunch of dead bodies were found at a seemingly abandoned mansion. Who or what killed these people and what secrets were they hiding? You do this by determining who was in what room at what time and listening to their conversations to unravel more information about who was where and when. All the while, you're in the house yourself trying to unravel the mystery while the generator keeps going out and new scraps of paper keep appearing on your desk. It's spooky as hell, but there are no jumpscares or creepy images: just really good atmosphere. If you enjoy note-taking, puzzle-solving games this is a good one. There's occasionally a bit of brute-force in determining who-was-where, but there's usually enough context that it isn't total guesswork. I was so happy to get to experience this game again.
