About
On Sunday the 7th of March, 1936, a group of locals made their way up the long, muddy track to Galley House. As far as any of them knew, the house had stood empty for decades.
Inside, they discovered the bloody aftermath of something horrific.
The authorities were summoned, and the crime scene was eventually cleared away. But nobody ever figured out what happened that dreadful night. It seemed likely that no one ever would.
Now, many years later, you have access to a peculiar machine — one that lets you listen in on echoes of the past. Can you piece together the events behind The Incident at Galley House?

Cool deduction puzzle with great story and presentation, well worth playing.
真是酣畅淋漓的推理 打破第四面墙的时候汗毛直立
有一个成就要切换到英文才能完成
One of the best mysteries I've ever played. This is at the level of Return of the Obra Dinn.

Riveting and engaging right from the start, with fantastic voice acting. As mystery games go, it's not the hardest. But it is very rewarding, and not getting stuck too often also allows you to enjoy the really well-written mystery without rage-quitting. The type of logic is primarily logic related to sequences of events and actions - what would make sense for characters to do now, where would they go next, etc. Here's a comparison for two similar games: If you liked The Roottrees are Dead, you will find this game fundamentally similar - it's a "desktop investigation" where you interact with a machine. The games are very similar in that you piece together a story bit by bit by extrapolating based on a bit that you already have. Galley House is a little easier and much less text-based, which - having played the two back to back - was really refreshing for me. Where Roottrees was a fantastic, complex sleuthing exercise that (by comparison only) didn't get me as invested in the story because of the all-text character of it, Galley House is the opposite: slightly less sleuthy, somewhat more emotionally engaging due to the voice acting. It's like reading a really good book if you have a super vivid imagination. If you liked Seance of Blake Manor, you will probably like it a lot, but it's a different kind of sleuthing and may feel a little easier. As you don't move but only use a device allowing you to access information, you won't be interviewing people or searching corners for evidence. But the story is just as engaging, and the game feels more modern. You still have to piece together sequences of actions and think about people's psychology to some extent. I finished this game to 100 % in just under 12 hours, compared to about 19 each for less than 100 % in Roottrees (incl. Mania) and Blake Manor, so it is a smaller game.
Fantastic game, got sucked in. Just wish it had more memorable characters.
Great little gossip game. Interesting story and pretty unique playstyle. Well worth the two evenings it took to beat.
This is an instant classic in my book, played through most of the 10-hour game in a single day. If you're a fan of modern detective/mystery games like Obra Dinn or Golden Idol, I cannot recommend this game highly enough.
I just finished the game and loved it. It took some getting used to but once you got the hang of it I found it very rewarding.
Good deduction game. More accessible, but not as satisfying as The Roottrees are Dead.
The story was interesting enough to want to keep going, but ultimately had too many loose ends to give me that rewarding feeling of understanding everything that is going on in the mystery. Both halves of the game felt like they ended early and left a bit to be desired. However, the voice acting and overall production value were excellent and I'm excited to see what Evil Trout does next! Well worth the purchase if you're still itching for more deduction after playing the usual popular recommendations (Obra Dinn, Golden Idol, Roottrees, etc).
