About
Takumi Sumino is a totally average teenager living in the Tokyo Residential Complex, a place where every day is much like the last and nothing bad ever happens. All that changes when freakish monsters attack the town and start wreaking havoc. A strange creature calling himself Sirei appears and offers Takumi the power to protect those he holds dear... All he has to do is stab himself in the chest!
The next thing he knows, Takumi is in Last Defense Academy, a school in the middle of nowhere surrounded by a wall of otherworldly flames. He and 14 other students have been drafted into the Special Defense Unit, a team tasked with keeping the school safe for the next 100 days. How much are they willing to sacrifice to take back their normal lives and save the world from the grotesque school invaders?
The curtain rises on 100 days of war and despair...
Takumi's choices will decide his future, but there's no telling what kind of consequences these decisions might have...
When the invaders attack, it's up to you to protect the school in SRPG battles.
Use each student's unique Specialist Skills to turn the tide of battle in your favor!
Spend time with your teammates to deepen your bonds, or explore the wilderness and ruins outside the school.
You can even use the items you find to craft gifts and get even closer to your allies!

Reviews
This game is evil, it's so amazingly good but so many of the routes are meh and the plot could stand to be more focused at times. BUT, the characters are the strongest from any Kodaka game, the world is deeply interesting and the OST is insanely good. Even after spending 175 hours on this game and getting EVERY ending... I WANT MORE!! I WANT MORE PLEAAASE!!!!!!!!!

I completed the game with all achievements (which I normally don’t do, to be honest), and after about 168.7 hours, it’s obvious I liked it. I think it’s a good game. That said, it has a lot of bittersweet aspects. I’ll try to avoid spoilers. The good part is that the story is very engaging and offers a lot of content. The combat system is quite unique and becomes really fun once you get the hang of it and understand how it works. The first few battles can be rough because it’s very different from other games. The main issue is that they basically went full “hold my beer” and added 100 story routes, which is honestly insane. That’s where most of the problems come from. The story is still good, but having so many routes creates contradictions and situations where it feels like the plot is forcing events to happen, which can be frustrating. Also, because the game is so long, its smaller flaws become much more noticeable. The combat system lacks progression, the farming minigame becomes repetitive fairly quickly, and while none of these are major issues on their own, over 168.7 hours they really start to stand out. On top of that, there’s no proper “skip already seen dialogue” feature, which doesn’t help at all given how much dialogue there is. Pros: Fun game overall Lots of twists Entertaining characters (though not all will appeal to everyone) Creative combat system Cons: The huge number of routes can make weaker timelines feel like a chore Repetition (especially farming) becomes very noticeable over time Some mechanics feel like they’re there just to pad playtime rather than add real depth
