The Home County

Where to start... this game is EXACTLY what I needed. Nicely paced life sim/city builder. The art style is truly unique, this isn't just another farming sim.. this is something fresh, new and a joy to play. I easily get overwhelmed with games similar to this but I am enjoying The Home County so much I find myself genuinely looking forward to powering on my ROG (handheld PC) and sinking more hours into The Home County. One of the best early access games i've ever played and I've played A LOT!

I love the this game so much! It blends everything about my other cozy games into one perfect little bundle. Designing a cozy functional village, making friends, fighting monsters, gardening, animals, this has it all!

Product obtained for free via keymailer. Very cute farming sim with a wide range of activities and features. Story is nice and has a charming victoriana vibe to it. There are some facets of the game I did not understand though.

I love this game and deeply hope that it reaches more people because I want a full release, and I want it NOW. There is a charm with indie games that truly do something different in the genre and The Home County hits that feeling with extra. The village management system simplifies traditional farming mechanics allowing for the player to spend more time decorating or fishing! I also love how mining works and how it functions as a contained reminder that this setting is magical. Usually, I barrel through games but this one made me slow down because I didn't want overplay the early access. But I was compelled enough to write this review because I really hope this becomes popular enough the talented dev knows they are creating something special.

Sou suspeito pra falar porque amo Stardew Valley, e The Home County claramente bebeu muito dessa fonte — e não digo isso como acusação: mesmo com as inspirações, gostei bastante do jogo. O visual é agradável, o som complementa bem a atmosfera, e a mecânica é envolvente. Se você não for fluente, perde parte da imersão na lore e nos diálogos. Mesmo assim, acho que o jogo tem potencial real — ajustes no texto poderiam elevar bastante a experiência. A wonderful game. It deserves all the love and support. It's made by a single person and they have done a great job so farl with it and I can't wait to see what's to come.
