Cada misión ofrece un nuevo mapa, pero bajo una estructura similar: explora, expándete, mejora tus unidades y elimina a los enemigos. El título presenta una campaña compuesta por misiones individuales que, aunque visualmente bien ambientadas, comparten un patrón bastante uniforme. Las mecánicas son accesibles y el juego en sí es sencillo de entender, con una curva de dificultad bastante suave. ✍️ Opinión personal En cuanto al rendimiento, no he tenido ningún problema. El juego funciona con fluidez, sin caídas ni errores, incluso en equipos más modestos. Eso es algo de agradecer. Como experiencia general, The Hive cumple sin más. No es un juego especialmente complejo ni profundo. Desde el principio queda claro cuál es la rutina: recolectar, construir, explorar, combatir y repetir. El bucle de juego es funcional, pero se vuelve predecible y algo repetitivo a medida que avanzas. Se nota que es un título de otra época: el diseño visual y las mecánicas tienen ese aire de estrategia clásica, sin demasiados adornos ni innovaciones. Aun así, si lo que buscas es algo relajado para echar un rato sin complicaciones, puede ser una opción bastante decente. ✅ Conclusión The Hive no aspira a revolucionar el género, pero ofrece una experiencia RTS accesible y estable. Es ideal para quienes quieran un juego de estrategia sin complicaciones, con partidas tranquilas y un ritmo moderado. Le falta variedad y profundidad, pero para pasar el rato puede funcionar bien. It reminds me of the old Alien RTS in good way. You control the hive, building numbers, waiting till the right moment to strike. It's a pretty normal RTS in the same vein as Starcraft. Not my normal cup of tea but I enjoyed the aesthetic and the RTS elements seemed to be consistent. The tutorial level was a bit a bare bones and I kind of had to figure everything out on my own but it was simple enough. I recommend this if you are a fan of RTS, Alien, The Hivemind, join the hive, the hive needs you, the hive is nothing without you.

Got on sale for $5. It's okay for that price; I definitely wouldn't pay $20. It's janky. There are levels where AOE markers end up underneath the terrain, and my bugs would sometimes freeze in place and couldn't be made to move at all. Controls are...iffy. But it did entertain me for a day, and it's not super long or anything (10 levels). Maps are nice and big, and you can get a proper swarm of 100+ bugs going.

Game is good if you played Warcraft 3 or WC3-likes that focus more on Campaign. Is a single player game so expect unique enemies to fight through each mission. Decent story to follow through. Good enough for a sequel.
