An anomaly game combined with ghost hunting elements. I had a lot of fun streaming this game! Disclaimer: I am not great at “spot the differences” games, but I sincerely enjoyed this experience. Double Disclaimer: I watch the dev’s streams regularly and think he is a good egg. In essence, the core of the game is spot the differences, but each of the cameras has different effects that can be overlayed to find ghost evidence (infra red therms, night vision, laser array, etc).. The result is a cool balance between spotting the differences to stay alive, and gathering the evidence to correctly identify the ghost in order to gain XP and unlock new levels. The game is challenging, but as I started to learn the maps and memorize the gadget keybinds, it got a bit easier. I felt a real sense of accomplishment when identifying the ghost correctly. There are some mild jumpscares that got me a few times, but mainly I experienced a lingering tension (a good tension) that accompanies this kind of game. Some of the evidence is tough to find, but not to the point of frustration. Overall, I had a blast playing this game!
Absolutely amazing game! If 'I'm on Observation Duty' and 'Phasmophobia' had a child, it would be this game. It's genuinely challenging. I had a hard time keeping up with it even on easy mode. You can see me struggling here: https://youtu.be/K0dLEwj-4Jo
i've played more after my innitial review. and this game... is quite the broken mess. i didn't know at the time because on the surface, the game looks fine. but the longer you play, the more bugs you find. important bugs. game breaking bugs. the ghost in this game won't kill you. but the anomalies will. buuuut, that's a problem when the anomalies spawn... and are completely invisible. camera malfunctions that can't be seen. yes, some that appear are subtle. but some are just, completely invisible. i suspected this after ending the game and being told there were camera malfunctions on cameras that were perfectly clear. even tested it out by reporting cam malfunctions when i couldn't see any, and they went through as if it was there, even with before and after screenshots. and that wasn't the end of it. after leveling up enough to unlock the 4th map out of 5, you'll find that one of the cameras in this map is completely reversed when using the infrared view. full horizontal flip. and ONLY in that view. i assumed it was a camera malfunction, so i reported one. sure enough, camera malfunction... one of the invisible ones mentioned above! even after reporting, the cam was still flipped in UV! i reported it again, thinking maybe it had instantly re occurred. nope! that gave me a strike! and you can only get 5 strikes before game over too. that was the 4th map. i played a LOT of the first map, and only a little of the 2nd. i don't know how many more bugs there are here. problem is now, i'm well beyond refundability, so i'm stuck with this game unfortunately. so here's my advice. if you think the dev may come back to this game, just follow it, and DON'T BUY until some work has been done on it. there's a solid foundation here, there really is. but it needs fixing. and if the dev has no plans to fix it, then there's no reason to buy this game.
It plays like any other Observation duty game, it's fun and I find it quite challenging. I recommend
Great relaxing game to end your night on using a combination of paranormal investigation and observation duty. If you were a truck dweller in Phasmophobia, this game is perfect you. Even if you weren't, it's still a very fun challenging game. I would like to see the "creepiness" factor elevated slightly more but that's just my opinion and doesn't take away from the overall fun of the game. It still has it's scary moments. For the price, well worth a try.
really fun ghost hunting twist on the observation genera.
broken mess, it is so frustrating that the buttons to switch between different camera modes etc just don't work 8 out of 10 times. you have to click randomly on other camera modes and hope it makes the button for the camera mode you actually wanted work.. the evidence gathering is not really fun either.. maybe this is a "me-problem" the fact that some things are randomized when you restart the map (open doors etc) is kinda annoying too, it prevents you from really "learning the map" I really wanted to like this game as it is ghost hunting and observation duty but it's just not it, more frustrating than fun at it's current state
Brilliant game and a bit of a different view of the ghost hunting genre. Love it.
