About
The Green Earth is a traditional roguelike taking place in a vast jungle. Ages ago an Ancient Culture used unimaginable technology to warp the inhabitants of a rainforest in truly bizarre ways. This civilization disappeared long before your people emerged, but ruins of their great city still exist hidden deep in the wilderness. Now it is your turn to enter The Green Earth, seeking the only means to save your mother from a deadly illness. The journey won't be easy and there's no guarantee you'll return alive. You'll have to make sacrifices if you wish to get back home...
The Green Earth takes the classic top-down grid, turn-based gameplay of classic roguelikes and sets it in a fully open world. Go anywhere with no distinct floors or borders breaking up the map. Different environments have unique ways to interact with them: grass can be set on fire, water conducts electricity and many hazards are just as deadly to the creatures of the jungle as they are to you. Explore 12+ biomes from steaming rainforests to damp swamps to mushroom groves and volcanos. And at the heart of the jungle, discover the ruins of an ancient temple where your fate will be decided.
Mix and match Background and Tribes for 150+ starting combinations then further customize your character with dozens of Passive Skills, Active Skills and Items designed to allow creating powerful synergies. Your chosen Tribe can radically alter how the game is played such as causing unique enemies to spawn, changing how skills or equipment work or even allowing new ways to use items. Eventually you can discover Symbiosis which unlock even more tools to survive the brutality of The Green Earth.
The jungle of The Green Earth hosts a complex biosphere of 36+ monsters with unique abilities and behaviors. Creatures range from jaguars and monkeys to giant, cordyceps-infected ants to huge multitle bosses like the fire drake and the terrifying guardian of the ancient city. If you can survive these threats though they'll drop unique resources which you can use in crafting recipes to further empower your character. Be carefull though, animals aren't the only threat. You aren't alone...

The Green Earth is in active development and more updates will be released soon.

I've been following this dev for a while and they have a really good work ethic / design sensibility around traditional roguelikes. Also I love the science-fantasy setting of this project. I'm very much excited to see further development!
唐突に始まる、まんが日本昔ばなしみたいなBGM好き。
Lovely game, glad I found it, looking forward for more updates :)

Very cool, lots of potential
Try the demo to see if you like it. There's more offered in the full version. Short, sharp roguelike that's worth giving a try if the idea intrigues you. Don't let the graphics put you off, there's good gameplay here. Still in it's infancy, and needs some real polish to bring out the best.
A great modern take on a traditional roguelike rpg! The jungle setting is a refreshing change of pace from the usual fare of deep, dank dungeons. Even in early access, the game offers hundreds of starting combinations that provide impactful passive effects and activated skills, as well as dozens of skills that can be learned as you progress through the game, giving the player lots of build options to experiment with. A full run is long enough to satisfyingly feel the power progression of your character and test it against strong enemies, but short enough that it won't eat up all of your time. This is a great title for anyone who likes to experiment with builds in games like longer form roguelikes or arpgs but doesn't want to sink dozens of hours into each character to see its potential. Very hyped to see how this progresses though development! For full disclosure, I played the demo and provided a lot of feedback and bug reports before the game came to Steam, and I was granted a key by the developer for the contributions. But I would have gladly paid the asking price if that had not been the case!
Cute little roguelike
