Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

great game, no more updates so just buy on sale

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 31: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Aug 11 → 1.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

i like ww1
This game does what very few games do, accurately give you an authentic WW1 strategy experience. It is a grueling, frustrating, horrific slog, and you will lose massive amounts of your troops to take just inches of ground at a time. Unfortunately for me, this isn't something I want to play. I wasn't expecting it to be so... authentic in how frustrating and slow of a grind it is to make any progress against the enemy. Hammering the enemy with heavy artillery only to find that the enemy is still very much there and you lose entire waves of infantry assaults is very authentic to a WW1 experience, but for a seasoned strategy game player like me, its ragequit inducing to lose entire divisions of troops to an area you timed to raid after hammering with dedicated artillery strikes. Aside from my own strategy grievances, it's disappointing and boring to have to fight on the same map every single engagement in the game's campaign, whereas skirmish mode has multiple maps to choose from. There are mods that fix this, but this should be a basegame feature. This game isn't for me, but it isn't a bad game at all. I see what it's trying to do, and it does it decently well; I'm just not a fan of it myself and I'll be requesting a refund while leaving a recommendation for thsoe who want an authentic WW1 strategy experience.
People are mad that a finished game doesn't get updates. It's a perfectly fine game and I'm enjoying MPing it with friends. The price is a big high for what it is but on sale this is definitely worth getting
if you love repeating the game over and over again
It was about to turn out great, but sadly became an abondaneware.. The basics are okay, but it really feels like a dumped down version of a greater concept. The gall to add a "Victory Edition" that contains nothing in-game, and a soundtrack, that you can buy separetly... this still amazes me.
I liked that this game was fun, I disliked that the game was not more fun, I recommend this game to others.
3/10 The Great War: Western Front
The first year of the war was exciting, but now the AI can't offer any fun anymore. First game on Soldier difficulty. February 1917. So far, I've seen two bombers, artillery, machine gun and grenade nests, and infantry from the enemy. No gas, no tanks, and no counterattacks for two years. My mechanization is crushing everything. My military support is at 999 (max). The enemy's is at 250. I'm just mowing down infantry without any resistance. I have so many tank battalions that Adolf won't need to build any later. Boring. Oh well, I'll slog through until victory and then maybe try another playthrough without tanks. There's nothing more to be gained from the game.
