The Great Below

If you are looking for a puzzle game that will keep you on the edge and second guessing your own sanity you have come to the right place. The music and atmosphere is really nice, but the controls could be improved.

Such a cool concept for a horror game! Not your run-of-the-mill jumpscare machine, this is a 2D/3D puzzle with creepy atmosphere (the music is really good too at building some tension). The story unfolding in front of you keeps you invested. The puzzles keep you thinking and certainly made me think of Myst at times. Deff worth the price tag if you dig puzzles and story. Oh and the whole aesthetic reminded me of Inscryption as well, which was a huge plus. The only negative is the ending was quite abrupt and left me a little confused (although I have my theories).

Really unique premise and presentation in this exploration puzzle game. Really enjoyed my time with it, though I did encounter a few bugs toward the end where the screen would go blue and you had to restart, but overall not anything too egregious. Definitely give this a try if you enjoyed games like Lorelei and the Laser Eyes or Obra Dinn. It's not as complex, but for the price it's a good game to spend an evening with.

This game is very haunting. It has an awesome soundtrack, and a tense claustrophobic atmosphere. If you are unsure I'd recommend trying the demo first. The game is very short, a full play through is on the order of 3 hours.

Love getting your brain bent by mind melting puzzles? Then you will adore this game! Reminiscent of games of old, it will take more than a bit of thinking outside the box to figure some of these out. Unique gameplay environment of switching between a 3D interactable mansion and a 2D map. While the game itself has a creepy atmosphere, there are no jumpscares or threats of death. So, you can completely explore and solve puzzles at your own pace. One of the best, and also frustrating puzzle games I have played in awhile. I do have to say after all the work I did to get to the end of the game, I felt a bit deflated and confused by it's abrupt and cryptic ending. This game is a engaging slow-paced puzzle game. It is an inmersive beautiful experience, from the visual, the sound to the design. A creative piece that is very much worth trying and fully exploring.

This game made me scared to look at a map for too long. One of the best psychological horror games I've played in a long while. Artsy, scary, oppressive, cryptic. If you like experimental games that leave you thinking for a long time, this game is for you.
