Honestly, I really liked it! Very fun platforming that has just the right level of skill requirement and forgiveness thereof, collectibles were fairly easy to find and/or figure out how to obtain, and overall a very enjoyable experience. At time of writing, The only things I'm missing to 100% the game are all the Speed and KO medal completions, and 4 Blue Coins. That aside, well done to the Devs. Fantastic experience, lovable characters and art, amazing OST and story, and I LOVE that it was also left open if the story decides to continue down the line. Well made game, greatly enjoyed, HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for a fun little indie game with hand drawn designs!
As promised from an Instagram comment i bought this game for 7 ft tall woman and will patiently wait for her to be playable in the next game. I will update my review after i beat the game. Update: I beat the game and will eventually go back to collect all power ups, lore and dolls. pretty unique system of glitching stuff for effects or platforms and fun gameplay. there was one boss i didn't like very much but besides that the enemy and glitching variety make the game pretty good. Also, its 11 dollars and has gone on sale before and will again. If u read this i say give it a try if ya like platformers.
Glitch Fairy is a game that when I first saw it I didn't think too much of. I thought it was a cute looking game but didn't really think it would be anything special. I was so wrong! Glitch fairy really is a labor of love, and while the game itself can be a bit frustrating at time and somewhat annoying it's so satisfying to play. Once you get good at dodging and weaving along with blasting it can feel good as you watch yourself getting better and better at the game And the story is just as fun, it's such an interesting world. The art and journals really do go a long way of drawing you into the story along with the world. Cannon cow has really made something special hear and I genuinely can't wait to see what they do next!
I may have forgotten to write a review here but never late than never I say! But I do want to give my first thoughts before playing the game thinking there isn't much to the game and it's just a casual chill platformed. Also the fact that I wasn't really a big mega man fan for it's slow movement game play. But, after playing the game from streaming it 100%, man I was so so wrong about my first thoughts on the game! This game is REALLY good and I do really love many things about the game! The fast movement is super good, the challenge is great and the character's are really well written! Really makes me enjoy all of the character's while playing through the game and hearing all of their lore and story for each of them. Even the character's who don't have a lot of screen time to them I still really do love how they look and written like the Queen Bee for example. The animation for the game is just flat out amazing for each of the sprite. So much details were put into each of the frames it's great and it just makes me happy when I notice a small little cute detail. Oh man the detail for this game is so good! Really love how each of the character's would have a reaction to Monie in some way or another and the glitch effects are really great as well! All of them being unique to one another! Can't forget about the fun equipable items as well. Each having their own purpose to use and does give you some customizability to mix and match each equipable you get! I can say I did mainly use the speed shoes during my two 100% runs of the game but all of them do serve their own purpose. Ofcourse looking cute as ever! But yes, All I can say is really do try this game out. Even if you aren't a fan of a megaman style gameplay. Can say from a guy who isn't a a megaman fan and doesn't really like playing megaman games. I find this one really damn enjoyable. Damn good job to the team who made this game and will for sure be excited to play your future games and see this world you guys created expand more for it's amazing lore!
I had a lot of fun playing this game. The glitch mechanic is fairly unique and it allows for some clever level designs. The boss fights offer a reasonable challenge without taking hours to master. There are equippable items that can scale down the difficulty of the game, if you want. There's a wide variety of levels with different platforming styles in addition to the main levels (side-scrolling shooter, mushroom bouncing, cow). It feels like a rollercoaster but it's narratively all tied together nicely. (The space levels are my favorite part of the game). The art and music are great. The story is unexpectedly complex and not at all what you would expect from the humor and artstyle, but worth delving into if you enjoyed the game. The game is a lot larger than what it appears to be at first. There is a LOT of the game hidden behind collecting all of the amethysts, which you should do eventually. Luckily the levels are much quicker and easier on subsequent playthroughs so it's not a chore to go back and get them (and there's a guide!). Overall a very enjoyable experience and I look forward to any future games from this team.
Got to show case the game and it’s a great work of passion! Simple to pick up and play, lore is interesting, caters to speedrunners and casual players, and best of all affordable. Check it out if you’re curious!
touhou if it was made by bethesda
This game is a great game if you love platforming, collectathon, problem solving, a challenge, hidden secrets and games a la Megaman. It's a game full of heart with devs that are open to constructive criticism (if it fits the story or the game). A world full of charming characters that get you to a feeling of whimsy and magic, but with an underlying message of acceptance. Et c'est en français aussi! So if you are down to play a game where heart and fun is at the center of it, you are welcomed to buy it.
The game is fun and I love it! I especially like the main mechanic, where we glitch enemies to overcome certain challenges.
this was pretty good so far and enjoy it.
