Amazing experience, making you want to explore more and get other endings when you complete the game. It has some combat and horror elements, but I would describe it as primarily exploration-based adventure with light detective touch. And for me it was much less stressful than Outer Wilds, as the time constraints encountered weren't so pressing.
Rarely do I find myself writing a review of a game. In this case I had to. Among the most grasping games you can play for the story, putting the giant of Bethesda to it's knees in shame! No game they have made has been close to what this offers, so I truly wish that in the future the developers and writers here will make a fully fledged RPG in the future. The Forgotten City is an all times classic! Thank you for this wonderful game which truly catches the RPG essence.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

joyita, muy divertido y sencillo
Has an incredible story and a fascinating mystery to uncover. The time-loop mechanic is brilliantly used, and every new loop gives you more information to piece everything together. The exploration, characters and atmosphere make it really hard to put down. One of those games I wish I could experience again for the first time.
Good time
Absolut geile Story :)
Dies Marmotae Romae The Forgotten City is a very good game, especially considering it was created by such a small team. I had played the precursor when it was a mod for Skyrim a while back. The full game is of course more sophisticated. The story is great (a bit of spoilers here), but at times a little predictable, no real twists there. The setting is refreshing with culturally diverse cast (in the sense that the roman empire was a cultural amalgamation). What I found a bit disappointing that, if I understood the story correctly, it should also have been possible for the cast to be far more temporally diverse. Most characters seem to have entered the city in the year 64 AD or before. It could have been possible to have more recent characters, for example someone from the 19th century with knowledge of the industrial revolution. This could have made for interesting conversations. But that’s just nitpicking on my side. The gameplay loop is very rewarding, especially when you can start to take advantage of previous knowledge. Feels a lot like speedrunning, which of course you can also easily do (ending 1 of 4 took me 5 minutes to reach). So, there are a total of four endings of which ending 4 is the one where you'll learn the most about the world. Endings 2 and 3 are somewhere in between 1 and 4 in sense of accomplishment and time invested. Obviously the first playthrough usually takes the longest, as you'll have to learn the ropes (it took me 8 hours to finish). Technically the game runs very smoothly, and I only witnessed very minor issues with delayed texture loading (might be a hardware problem on my part) and one instance of Sentius temporarily getting stuck on a fury right before reaching Proserpina’s temple which was a bit worrying. All that said, you should give this game a try if you like story driven video games at all. Honor Creatori
