About

Scavenge and fight for your next day alive under the shadow of gargantuan war machines. Enemies in the game can literally tower over the battlefield. To put it another way:

The battlefield is unpredictable thanks to The Forever Winter’s Dynamic Encounter system: enemies have their own goals and agendas, operating in coordinated groups, undertaking full-scale battles — and they’ll intelligently react to your actions. The battlefield you leave won’t be the same one you return to.
Use your wits, stealth, and skilled gunplay to make it out alive. Choose your path in the shadow of the two great superpowers, loot the dead, and make it out alive. While the warring factions may ignore you at first, the more disruptive you become to their goals, the more they'll seek to remove you from the equation.
Ecological collapse compounded by runaway technological advancement brought us here: a dystopian world choked by 40 years of industrial-scale violence between two military superpowers, AI automata, cybernetically enhanced soldiers, human-machine hybrids, and relentless automated warfare. There's two sides to this war, and you're not on either.

Reviews
Game feels very repetitive after a short while, no diversity in gameplay, at times it feels to easy and others to hard, and a whole company of infantry will fire at you and hunt you down even if your a single scavenger. Would be way better as a open world game imo
The Forever Winter is a game with so much potential. The idea, the graphics, the world building, the designs, and the framework for an amazing game is all here. The problem is well, just about everything else. For a game that promises a realistic feel with a "focus on avoiding fights" it also promises the premise in which you are "the little guy" none of which is true. Most things die in couple of shots, which wouldn't be an issue if the AI didn't suck. Stealth is stupidly easy, I can literally walk infront of someone and they don't notice, but most enemy's are placed at such a point where it is impossible to avoid a fight. Your supposed to be "the little guy" but your stronger than everything else without even trying. Anything that you can't kill in a couple is huge and you can out maneuver it with ease. My next issue is the polishing. So many guns clip through the player model, some textures look poor compared to others, the gunplay doesn't feel good, and enemys are placed in random spots. But wait, there's more. The game is riddeled with countless bugs. If you getting hit by a melee attack you get spun around and can't look behind you to shoot, floating objects are everywhere, and the game crashes even on low graphic's settings (I can run The Witcher, Cyberpunk 2077, God of War, and Red Dead Redemption 2 on max graphics with no issue.) The quest's are, lackluster, and the whole game feels unfinished. I get it's in early access but for being out for this long it should be better. Last, and worst is skin DLC. What the ♥♥♥♥. I bought a 40 dollar game, and I have to pay for skins? There is almost no way to get any cool looking skins without spending money. For a game as unfinished as this the audacity to expect people to pay for skins is stupid. They locked looking cool behind a paywall. This isn't to say the game sucks, but it need serious work. Real passion went into this. this game is oozing with potential, but in it's current state I just can't recommend this to anyone.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

so far im enjoying this game. in its current state it isnt incredible but it isnt bad either. main bug ive found is clipping through some areas of the map and also there are some placeholder textures in some areas. this game is super promising and i hope the devs continue to update and make the best game they possibly can
in its current state, very fun, when it first came out in early access, not very fun so its kinda worth playing now, especially on sale, i would give it a try, its like ark raiders but pve only and very intricate map design, the maps inter-link like in tarkov/stalker but you can transit within like 10 seconds from map to map so thats cool.
this game had great potential however its in a horrible state i wouldn't nor do i play this i wouldn't recommend this to anyone
Very bad AI fix it. I'll wait
