About

Scavenge and fight for your next day alive under the shadow of gargantuan war machines. Enemies in the game can literally tower over the battlefield. To put it another way:

The battlefield is unpredictable thanks to The Forever Winter’s Dynamic Encounter system: enemies have their own goals and agendas, operating in coordinated groups, undertaking full-scale battles — and they’ll intelligently react to your actions. The battlefield you leave won’t be the same one you return to.
Use your wits, stealth, and skilled gunplay to make it out alive. Choose your path in the shadow of the two great superpowers, loot the dead, and make it out alive. While the warring factions may ignore you at first, the more disruptive you become to their goals, the more they'll seek to remove you from the equation.
Ecological collapse compounded by runaway technological advancement brought us here: a dystopian world choked by 40 years of industrial-scale violence between two military superpowers, AI automata, cybernetically enhanced soldiers, human-machine hybrids, and relentless automated warfare. There's two sides to this war, and you're not on either.

Reviews
Fun but full of bugs and crashes.
It's Early Access, and by Early Access i mean borderline unplayably early. Blame the people who pressured the devs into releasing it early, but i still think that it has great potential.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The game is an absolute masterpiece visually, gameplay wise it's got a long way to go still. there are way too many consumable items in the game making selecting anything in a pinch impossible. We should have set rig slots or something that are set specifically for equipment, meaning anything that you want to use can be stuck in a specific bag slot and used while the rest gets stowed for extract. Also some sort of damage resistance when you prestige would be a game changer its so easy to just die if you're not paying attention for even a second in combat.
I really really wanted to like this game, the art style and lore surrounding it is amazing but ever since the most recent update with the addition of the tunnels it is just a broken pain in the @$$, when I saw that the ai got reworked I thought ok cool they finally fixed them from randomly becoming aggressive on you while fighting each other or shooting you from almost across the map yes I'm talking about elephant mausoleum, Not only that but just to get to that point I have to now navigate through the tunnels which changes almost every single time I load into the map, It is cool at first the expansion of the innards and how scavs go from map to map but when I have to use half my ammo because I'm put into clashes against enemies it is impossible to avoid, using most of my medkits etc only to get killed by a mech halfway across the trenchline it's just not worth it. You can also spend your water now in order to directly deploy into the map instead of going through the tunnels, ok I can go do a wasted run now lose water and not find the targeting system that refuses to spawn. At this point it would be better to scrap the tunnels for now until the ai is fixed and make quest items actually spawn instead of giving a low chance of them showing up especially since we are spending resources now to get in. It's not fun at all and when a run is going good you will die to some enemy you aren't even near. FunDog please for the love of all that is holy in this world fix this games issues before adding major gameplay changes like tunnels or making it to where we have to use water to deploy fast into a map - a person that really wanted to see this game succeed
Attention developers. You guys suck at making games, but the game concept is insanely awesome. Please improve the animations soon; the animations need to look good for effective marketing. The weapon mounting and gripping postures are terribly awkward, and the movements of the characters, helicopters, and exosuits look like they're being dragged around by a computer mouse. And there are so many bugs—fix them quickly. For example, when transitioning to a new map, ammo like cryo rounds in the inventory just vanishes. And switching weapons causes the cryo effect to stop applying. If I run into any more issues while playing, I will keep updating my review.
Got this game a while ago, had some fun with it, but the entire concept of "Youre not this guy" etc doesnt hit, youre given weapons to fight, if youre supposed to hid and scavange, the weapons should be defensive traps, stun weapons, smoke grenades items to assist you keep to the shadows, keep hidden and get away. The game is just you dont have the hp to have a fight.... solid idea, wish the play style would match the concept
制作组小时候脑子被 .50 cal打了个洞,所以决定让大家都在游戏里体验一下 Do you think frequently knocked down by general infantry is funny?
Atmospheric masterpiece, first and foremost. Gameplay can be a bit better (some enemies kill you too fast, but that's 'skill issue' territory). So gameplay is so and so, but my oh my, the world building/design is top tier; music kicks ass too
Rough and unpolished, punishing beyond fun. Enemy ai: dumb and goofy. I want to like playing this but the only redeeming quality is the art direction, everything else is just frustrating.
I feel like I will genuinely enjoy this game but it runs like booty on a 5090
